Press Club will meet with Mrs. Bradley, 241 E. South Temple St. An appropriate program has been arranged consisting of an original Thanksgiving story and poem, and the members are expected to be prepared with sentiments on Thanksgiving Day. Invitations have been issued to the presidents of city clubs and officers of the Federation to be present and join in the evenings entertainment, which bids fair to being a delightful club session. The Reapers Club at its last ear Second South Stbeet. During the session of the Maine Federation held in Bangor, October a club composed of members of the Penobscot tribe of Indians, was admitted to membership in the State Federation. The president is Mrs. Martha Nicolar, She addressed the Federation, first in a few words in her native tongue, and then in English. The name of the club is the Wabanaki 6-7-- meet- ing was instructed in the Sphinx lore of Egypt in a bright and able address by Mrs. Badger. Mrs. E. B Wells gave a brief history of the Saints in Winter Quarters. The next meeting of the club will be on Monday after- noon, November 22nd. The chair appointed the chairmen for the different sections of work for next year: Educational, Mrs J. C. Wester; Current Literature, Mrs. F. W Hayt; Historical, Mrs. David Keith : Shakespearian, Mrs. W. S. Sharp. Program then followed: Helen Hunt Jackson, biography; sketch of her popular poem Spinand outline of Romona, ning, Bits of Travel and Zeph given in an entertaining manner by our president, Mrs. Wm. M. Ferry. Julia Ward Howe, biography; her famous poem, Battle Hymn of the Republic, first sung in Libby Women in Prison; her lectures, Is Polite Society Greek Drama, Polite, etc. Mrs L. E. Hubbard.
