This school is held annually on the campus at USU in Logan. The general chairman of the school was Dr. Margaret Merkley. Mrs. Barbara Whitbeck, chairman of the Utah Farm Bureau Women's Committee, was a member of the general committee which planned the over-a- ll CONGRATULATIONS ON program. The school began on the evening of October 9 and continued through Thursday, October 12, concluding with a banquet that evening. The conference program began with a general session each morning featuring speakers an subjects of interest to the women present. Classes were conducted during the rest of the day by Extension Service personneL Subjects covered were: Fitting Your Home to Your FamUy; Undercover Work Your on Well Made Clothing; Food Dollar Values; Apples, Aspirins and Atoms. Farm Bureau leaders from over the state participated in various capacities during the 4 days. Cache County Farm Bureau Women gave the flag presentation and the Pledge of Allegiance. We look forward to the next half-centur-y, hoping for continued close association and cooperation. The future will place an even greater need for strong local government upon us. Mrs. Paul Nelson, U.F.B. Women's vice president, gave a presentation in tribute to US.U. President Daryl Chase. UTAH STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES Farm Bureau Women also assisted in demonstrations for making Christmas gifts. Attendance at the conference is by invitation only and is limited because of the wide interest to people who are leaders in their counties. County and Home Demonstration Agents determined to whom invitations are Issued in each county.
