Show Page 8 December, 1969 FARM BUREAU NEWS AH Sumsion Named Fieldman For Southern Utah Appointment of Nell Sumsion as Area Fieldman for eight counties in Southern Utah counties was at the Annual Utah Farm Bureau Convention by V. Allen Olsen, Executive Secretary. Mr. Sumsions work will be mainly in Iron, Beaver, Washington, Kane, Garfield, Piute, Sevier and Wayne Counties. We are fortunate to have a man of Nell's qualifications on the Farm Bureau staff. With his background In Farm Bureau field work and Insurance, Nell will be In an excellent position to strengthen the entire Farm Bureau program inservices cluding Its Insurance where he will be called upon to assist in coordinating Insurance activity with other Farm Bureau programs," Mr. Olsen stressed. In field work Mr, Sumsion will have responsibility in all areas of Farm Bureau activity with special emphasis on marketing and the economic aspects of national farm programs. Because of the wide-spreuse of public lands by livestock men in Southern Utah he will also have a key resin our public lands ponsibility activity. Neil came to work for Farm Bureau as an area fieldman in Southern Utah in 19G2. In 1965 he was appointed Branch Manager of Farm Bureau Insurance Services in Southern Utah. Neil graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelors degree in 1961 and olttained his masters degree in Ag Economics at Utah State University in 1963. He filled an LDS mission in Canada ced W T V fV; jyf ir' farm group had nearly 130 in Washington, D.C. for the 50th Anniversary Convention of the AFBF.
