Show A Case of Battery. J. II. Cahlil was before City Justice Noon yesterday morning on a charge of battery preferred by Al Thompson of the Excelsior stables. Cahlil pleaded plead-ed guilty and was lined CIO which be paid. Cahlil was again arrested yesterday on a peace warraut sworn to by Al Thompson. Hearing was held -in tho basement of the court house at 4 p. in. and after hearing tho vldcuce Justice King ruled that Calitll bo hold under 1500 bonds to keep tho peace or go to jail tor six mouths. At first "Jack" said ho would tuko the jail but thought better of it and easily furnished tho bond with C. E. Loose as surety. In justice lo Cahlil we may say that ho appears to bo gentlemanly and peaceable peace-able and tho exact upposito of a desperate des-perate character. |
