Tho Democratic party of Utah county, coun-ty, by Its authorized delegates lu convention con-vention assembled, submit tho following follow-ing declaration of principles: X Wo rcaillrm, and endorse tho Democratic platform adopted by tho National Democratic Convention at Chicago in 1800, and especially that portion of said platform which declared In favor of tho froo nnd unltmltod coinage of silver equal with gold at the ratio of 10 to J. Tho warfaro be-twoon be-twoon the money power of the world and tho masses of humanity is still on, tho Issue is as Important now, and moro Important than It was in 1805. It Is and must contlnuo to bo a conflict between grinding monopolies on tho ono hand nnd thodown-troddon masses on tho other, until, by tho mighty voice of tho peoplo at tho ballot box, It shall havo been sottlod, and sottlcd right. This is tho paramount issuo beforo tho pcoplo. It has hlthorto been In tho'Stato of Utah a question upon which all of tho political parties agrood. Rocoutly, howover, by tho uso of juggling words and meaningless tonus, calculated only to .obscure tho yltal question and bofog tho Issue, tho Republicans of Utah, with many hon-orablo hon-orablo exceptions, in violation of their solemn pledges and promises to the pooplc, havo taken a backward step In tho progress of tho tight until it has become Impossible to regard them any longer in any othor light than as the friends of gold nnd onomles of sllvor.
