The warfaro between be-tween the money power of the world 1 and the masses of humanity is still on. tho lesuo is as Important, now, and moro lmportunt than it was in 1605. It Is aud must contlnuo to bo a conflict botween grinding monopolies on the ono hand and tho down-trodden masses on tho other, until, by tho mlg'hty volco of. tho people at tho ballot box, it shall havo been sottlod, aud sottlcd right. This Is tho paramount issuo boforo tho people. It has hlthorto been In tho Stato of Utah a question upon which all of tho political parties Ijigrood. Recently, howovor, by tho uso of juggling words and moanlngloss terms, calculated only to obscuro tho vital question and bofog tho issue, tho llopubllcans of Utah, with many honorable hon-orable exceptions, in violation of their solomn pledges and promises to the pooplo, havo takou a backward step in tho progress of the fight until it has becomo impossible to regard them any longer in any othor light than as the friends of gold and enemies of sllvor. Tho only truo friends of any question pro those who fight for its triumph, and fight to win.
