Show Allold-Up. Thursilny evening nt about 11 o'clock W. M. Hughes, assslstant county attorney, at-torney, and Lougo Meyer, an academy student, were held up by two thugs. at tho corner of Fourth and I streets. One of tho highwaymen proscnlcd a 2UI1 with the coin annul "hands-up." Hughes struck thy other one and did a "hot foot" down tho street getting sately away. Mayer was selzsd by the two hold-ups and thrown doivn and gagged. In going through his pockets tho thieves secured "lie silver dollar, and evidently not being satisfied re. Moved Mayer of his best Sunday necktie, neck-tie, after which they bout a hasty retreat. re-treat. The young men informed Sheriff Storrs of the occurrence tho next day, but as they wero unable to give uny definite description of the thugs, who wore masked, their appro-heuslon appro-heuslon is extremely doubtful. |
