Next Monday will bo a elty holiday and I he peopie of Provo will all unite! to do honor to our returning volunteers, i The committees on program and reception met Thursday morning and made a few changes In the program of the day which wilt bo noted below. Saturday evening the volunteers will) be metal the R. G. W. depot nt 0 20, by the baud and citizens, and with hearty cheers will be escoited Into the city. I During Sunday tho returning volunteers volun-teers will have an opportunity to greet friends and relatives. The roal reception will take plac ou j MONDAY, AUGUST 2 1ST. At sunrise the national colors will bo hoisted on the public buildings. At 0 u. m.. a salute of artillery will call the attention of the volunteers and ni hers to prepare for the grand reception recep-tion of the day. Irvine the sum of $300 was appropriated to defray the expenses nf tho local volunteers from S in Fr.tnslsco, tho umouat to be paid to Gov. Wells to reimburse tbo Salt Lake committee. |
