C Riser and Capt Val Rideout Taken allin all allin allin in all it is perhaps the speediest and strongest aggregation of track athletes athletes athletes ath ath- letes ever gotten together by any anyone anyone anyone one university in the history of Utah That the students and faculty faculty faculty fac fac- appreciated the glorious victory victory victory vic vic- tory the boys won on May 2 I st was shown by the unanimous demonstration demonstration demonstration demon demon- given the heroes in the as assembly assembly assembly as- as room on Monday following the meet Rideout Whitney Russell Russell Russell Rus Rus- sell Wade Moore Judd and Bennion Bennion Bennion Ben- Ben nion were carried into the room on the shoulders of admiring students and deposited on the rostrum Speeches were made by Pres Kingsbury Prof Cummings Miss Dougall and the members of the team The boys however proved to tobe tobe tobe be men of action rather than of words the speeches not needing any time limit qualification But concerning the meet It was easily the greatest happiest and most harmonious gathering of College College College Col Col- lege Students ever witnessed in Utah From the time the U University University niver- niver sity reception committee boarded the train at Murray to welcome the magnificent delegation from Provo until the last car left Saltair at 1115 11 1 5 p. p m. m good feeling and true r. r L i wi sp sportsmanlike genuine College Spirit prevailed Utah's four universities universities universities uni uni- took part in the events and that we made 51 points against 47 for the combined field against us is a high compliment for the U.
