I was there when Alex Smith and Urban Meyer led us to domination. I was there when Louie Sakoda saved Brian Johnson's butt. I was there when Utah made it to the NCAA Finals. I was there for Theresa Kulikowski's perfect 10s. But I'd have to say my proudest moment as a Ute was managing to stay in my seat and off the field during the entire Utah-BYU game last year. Online Editor Photographer Niki Harris Managing Editor Arash Tadjiki My proudest U moment? Winning Best News Photograph from the Utah Press Association for for my front-page photo of a 21-gun salute on Verterans Day last year. I beat photographers from across the state including the Deseret News and The Salt Lake Tribune photojournalists. The same photo took second place regionally with the Society of Professional Journalists' Mark of Excellence Awards. I have no doubt that everyone (or most) will choose this moment, but my recollection happens to be the best. Definitely the insanely epic 2012 Holy War. It had everything I could have ever asked for.A nearly game-deciding penalty called at the last second? Check. Two potentially game-tying BYU field goals, one of which went wide and the other which bounced off the post? You bet.The MUSS rushing the field not one, not two, but three times (I was actually lifeted over the barriers onto the field by fellow MUSS members and lost a shoe in the process?) Absolutely. And, of course, the Utes won. Best night ever. I haven't had my moment of Ute pride yet. I don't watch football because I have no idea what's going on and I haven't gone to many events because I'm not a functioning alcoholic. Thus, I haven't exactly had a chance to muster a proper college experience. I'm seeing how fast college goes by, so maybe for once I will catch a U game and if I see a white dude with dreadlocks on campus I'll call him "brah." Okay maybe not the second part, but go Utes!
