ASUU trim-ucould use a good shake-dow- Bloated cow is alive and kicking n, Dear Readers: For the last quarter, I have been covering ASUU for the Chronicle. It has been an interesting experience, to say the least. clean-u- p, But the ASUU Assembly deserves a big hand. They scrutinize every issue that comes before them and are extremely careful with what they do. Sure it's a little disorganized at times, but it's really the result that counts. Anyway, try to keep a close watch on your money and what's being done with it. ASUU is important. A lot of students say they don't care about ASUU. But saying that you don't care about ASUU is saying you don't care what happens to your hard-earne- d money. If you're at all like me, that money isn't all that easy to come by. But I don't mind ASUU using part of my money to plant a garden for all students to use and enjoy. And I heartily approve of using my money to fund Dudes, N.L. East is hot, ASUU not dent money and every student on this campus should pay close attention to what goes on in the offices located in Contrary to popular belief, not everybody on the Chronicle staff is deeply concerned with what is going on in the Middle East. I'm more concerned with the National Chicano Awareness month. The point I'm very slowly leading up to here is that ASUU has $530,000 of stu- League East. Go Pirates. students I'm also one of the 20.000-plu- s who could care less about ASUU elections. The most important election every year is the Heisman Trophy balloting. Let's get our priorities straight. Also, I didn't support the editorial that ran calling for the abolition of intercollegiate athletics. Intercollegiate athletics rule. And for all of you who think the entire Chronicle staff is a bunch of dope smokg liberals, it just ain't true. I ing know I'm not one. One more thing, Don Knotts bastardized his Barney Fife character on The Andy Griffith Show when he accepted a role of Ralph Furley on Three's Company. Don, you disappointed me. left-win- recognition. But there was a certain group of whiners who felt the Chronicle sports staff didn't give the ski team enough ink throughout the ski team's entire season. Well if 17 stories isn't enough coverage, tough beans! Go whine to someone else.
