Show T he No. 5 Red Rocks will travel to Birmingham, Ala. next week to compete for the coveted national title they've been training for all season long. While they're training hard in preparation, they let loose a little bit this week at the Dumke Gymnastics Center to provide answers to my questions of "utmost importance." If you could have any super power, what would it be and why? Corrie Lothrop: My power would be, I would change all the traffic lights to green everywhere I go. I just hate people driving around me, so I want to be on the road by myself. Tory Wilson: I was watching "Superman" the other day, and I was thinking how cool it would be to fly. Flying would be pretty sweet. You could avoid traffic. Mary Beth Lofgren: I'd probably want to be like Elastigirl on "The Incredibles." It helps that I'm already kinda flexible. Georgia Dabritz: I'd want to be able to fly just because then I wouldn't have to pay for an airplane. Those are expensive! Or parking. I could just fly wherever I needed to. Baely Rowe: I'd probably want to be really fast so I could just run out of things, sometimes. Becky Tutka: Teleportation, easily. Then we wouldn't have to get on flights, and then I could go home [which is in Pennsylvania] and eat dinner with my family and be back. Hailee Hansen: [After clarifying whether she could choose a name] I picked a name, because it was easy 'cause they already call me Hailstorm. So, you say The Mighty Hailstorm, and then I control the weather. Megan Marsden: There were times where we [Megan and Greg], because of competi8 magazine tion, had to miss something like a basketball event or something that one of our boys was involved with, so teleportation would have helped with that. If the entire team, including staff, was placed on a remote Island in a "Survivor"-type atmosphere, who would be the first person off? CL: Who would be voted off first would be MB [Mary Beth], but maybe me. I'm not an outdoorsy person. TW: That's a tough one. I don't want to throw anyone under the bus, but I think maybe MB would be the first off. If it was a nature, survival-type show, she'd get voted off. MBL: Kailah [Delaney], because she would miss her cats too much. GD: I think the first one off would be Bree [Breanna Hughes], because she'd be allergic to something on the island. BR: Probably Bree, because she's allergic to everything. BT: I would say Kass [Kassandra Lopez], because she loves her cell phone, and she loves running water. HH: The person to not survive would be Corrie, and everyone is saying she would win, but that is absolutely not true. We went on a backpacking and fly fishing class once, and she just had bug bites all up and down her. She willingly will admit she hates nature. MM: Kailah, because she is just a girly girl. So many of the things she loves she would be without. She has gotten much tougher this year, but I think she'd choose to be off. In that same situation on the island, who would be the last one standing? CL: I would say who would win would be Cameron [Linford, the team's director of |
