Examples of Art Nou'f the March 5. '. Co .had INTERESTED IN SILENCE? In its early Scandinavian beginnings, skiing was transportation. Gliding uphill and down through this white silence was pleasant, and it wasn't long until a popular form of recreation, recre-ation, even a way of life, was born. Many in this country are adding cross-country touring to their repertoire of ski skills. It's an experience in which one's complete awareness is absorbed by the skis and surrounding surround-ing nature. It is also very easy. At Timberline, we're in the business of turning people on to the quiet environments. We believe that such awareness creates a needed responsibility to our natural world. You'll get personal attention here. We want your experience to be pleasant. Our staffers are ski touring, climbing and backpacking experts who love what they're doing. That's why they're here. You can benefit from their knowledge. Come in and chat with us. We conduct a free ski touring clinic every Saturday at 10 a.m. If you're turned on, you can rent everything you need for $6.00 a day or we'll put together to-gether a touring package, including the top line of skis, boots, poles, bindings and wax for $85.00.
