meeting I 1 of the miners millers of the wet mining alining district held at the provost Nars marshals haFs office on tuesday auk aug ad 1864 mr thomas aneo was called to the ch chair air and J M merrill was appointed secretary the chairman stated that the object of the meeting was for the purpose of amending and revising the laws of the said paid district A committee consisting of george W chain berlin james AV yoacham IL II M may geo 11 campbell and R F dusky were appointed to revise and amend the said laws article 1 this district shall include that portion of territory situated in the territory of utah and bounded as follows commencing atthe condu confluence ence of the river jordan with greats salt lake and running thence in a sol southerly atherly direction along tile tho east bank oft ortho h e said aid river to its point ot of exit from lake utah thence along the west margin t of said lake to the de derele degree rele north lat latitude imade gree greenwich naich thence along said degree bernee of north latitude to the eastern boundary of tooele thoele county thence along said bound boundary ary to the great salt sal t lake and from thence easterly to the place of beg beginning laning article 2 the extent of a claim on any mineral vein shall bo be two hundred feet mom along 0 the lode with a width of one hundred fet feet on each side of the lode including all its dips deall depths widths off shoots out olit droppings variations and all the mineral and other valuables therein contained and P priority of location shall determine the ownership of all cross or presented for that purpose for which lie he will be entitled to receive a sum slim not exceeding one dollar 1 I 1 in in each case and all such records with the necessary revenue stamps affixed shall be deemed legal evidence of sale or ownership as the case may be article 6 each company shall do one faithful days work on oil their claim each month on oil a failure to do so such claim or claims shall be subject act to relocation location re provided however that should the company be prevented from working by local insurrection or rebellion their claims shall not bo be forfeited and provided
