'A vhkiJt i k LrH Fredrickson Harold Fredrickson, age 87, a longtime resident of Roosevelt, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002 at the Stewarts Care and Rehabilitation Center. Harold was bom September 24, 1914, in Provo, Utah, to Gustave Fredrick and Lydia Gertrude Cook Fredrickson. He was one of 12 children and enjoyed teasing his siblings and growing up in a large family. Harold was reared m Roosevelt, grad uating from RooeeveitHigh School where he excelled in basketball and tennis. He attended Brigham Young University for four years, mqjoring in accounting. After college he returned to Roosevelt where he helped run Fredrickson Garage with his brothers. During World War II he served in the UU. Army. As an all around mechanic and welder, he was known for his hard work, honesty and ingenuity. For most of his career, he worked from 7 a.m. to past midnight, six days a week with never takings vacation. On Sundays, he did the garages books. In his last years, Harold lived at Stewarts Care and Rehabilitation Center, where he was loved and respected for his friendliness and compassion. Harold loved sports, especially basketball. He coached YM MIA basketball teams for many years and an avid follower ofUnion Highst for several decades. Harolds other passion was his mosquito form on the Green River near Ouray, where he spent much of his span time. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ ofLatter Day Saint From 1937 to 1939 he served in the North Central States Mission, primarily on Indian reservations in Montana and North Dakota. He was a High Priest in the Roosevelt Fourth Ward, where he taught Sunday School and Priesthood classes for many years. He is survived by a sister Beth Sullivan, Vernal; brothers Arvid Fredrickson, Garland; Grant Fredrickson, Bountiful; a special nephew Keith Fredrickson, Hood River, OR; many nephews and nieces, special friends Cindy Hicken and her family, and Monet Gooden. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Durell, and Gus, sisters Elsa Ruesch, Selma Collins, Agnes Peggy Birtcher, Helen Fredrickson, Anna Taylor, and Lydia Gertrude Fredrickson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 26, at the Roosevelt Stake Center. Friends may call Monday evening at the Hullinger MortuTuesday at the ary from 6 - 8 p.m. and church from 10:00 -- 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park. Mont Larsen, 77, died Feb. 20. M. Larsen Mont Larsen, age 77 of Roosevelt passed awqy February 20, 2002 at the Uintah Basin Medical Center. Mont was bom August 29, 1924 in Tridell, Utah to Jasper and Ethal Morrill Larsen. Het LaRue Eldredge in an applet on May 3, 1943 in Montgomery Creek, California. That same year he was called to serve his country in the mili- Upon his return he served as City Marshall for the town of Roosevelt He was a lineman for Uintah Power and Light and later became manager for them. He then was personnel manager at Moon Lake Electric and retired in 1979. After his retirement he went on to build several buildings including the Circle K, Video and Sound and their warehouse, where they first opened and operated the Western Wagon Wheel clothing store, then he also built the new LCL office building. One ofhis favorite sayings was Idle hands are thedevils playground, but Monts hands were never idle. He will be missed by many. Mont is survived by his wife LaRue, daughter, Connie (Ren) Lamb, Roosevelt; granddaughter Lori Lynn (David) Chapoose, Roosevelt; Lonnie James Atwood, Canyon City, CO; Robert Lee Atwood Kennandale, TX; and TJ. Lamb, Roosevelt; many niecee and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, andbrothers and sisters, MeL Lloyd, Laura, Eflie, and a nephew Carl Dimmick. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Rooaevelt LDS 2 and 7 Ward Chapel, 250 West 200 North. ClufT, 75, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, Wilson, age 98, passed away Feb. 16, 2002 in Price Utah, from causes incident to age. She was born Aug. 31, 1903 in Manti, a daughter of Joseph and Martha Lowry Gee. At the age of 16, her family moved to Duchesne. She married Clarence L. Wilson, Nov. 9, 1922 in Duchesne. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple. They were married 68 years prior to his death on Dec. 13, 1990. Mom was a hard worker and always busy. She enjoyed her home, her beautiful yard and her neighbors. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints and she especially enjoyed attending the temple. She was able to live by herself, takingcareofher home and yard until the age of 95, when she moved to Helper to live with her daughter. She lived at the Heirloom Innln Price for the last year. She is survived by son, LaMar (Orienne) Wilson, Roosevelt; daughter, Lois (Reid) Olsen, Helper and at his home. Services were held Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato, the Rev. Peter Nosbush officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cem- etery in SL Peter. Mr. Cluffwas bom March 17, 1926, Mr. Pepper eryoyed hunting, fishing in the mountains, tellingstories to his many ckm friends and relatives, horses and ranching. His remaining in Cedaredge with yean were spentLoretta Reed. They his companion, owned and raised registered paint horses and belonged to AQHAand the Registered Paint Horse Association. He especially enjoyed the foals each spring and showingtheir horses on the horse show circuit. He is survived by his companion, Loretta Reed of Cedaredge; four sons, Joseph Pepper, Robert W. Pepper, Jr. of Cedar City, Edward J. Pepper of Evanston, Wyo.;andMatthew E. Pepper of California; five daughters, Muriel Laine Menconi and her husband Ivan ofLesVegas, Nev.; Donna L. Evans and husband Todd of Evanston, Wyo.; Patricia A. Shull and her husband Andy of Cedar City; Tracy M. Pepper of Cedaredge, and Brandi R.
