Show T Dale Marion Galley D. I lean I. Hansen Poulson Poulson Ilean Hansen Poulson, of Duchesne, passed away peacefully at her home on March 10, 2001 at the age of 84. Ilean was born July 4, 1916, to Charles Savaren and Mary Alvira Westover Hansen in Center-field- , UT. She married Kermit Poulson in the MantiTempIeonSeptember9, 1941. They lived on a form near Duchesne when they raised their family. She lived as the Savior would have her live. Her love was felt by family, friends and neighbors. At the time of her death die was a faithful temple worker and deeply immersed in family history work and her ward calling. Ilean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kermit, and a sister Zelma Clement. She is survived by her children, Alma (Loyle) Rasmussen, Mesa, AZ; Stanley (Nadine) Poulson, Duchesne; Clair (Ruth) Poulson, Duchcene; Lynn (Julie) Poulson, Ephraim; Leesa (Tim) Wall, Grant, ID; Kent (Marie) Poulson, Mapleton; Marsha (Scott) Peterson, Phoenix, Pauline AZ; (Louis) Denetsosie, Window Rock, AZ; 4 sisters, Velma (Kay) Lyman, Blanding; Helen Hill, Orem; Carina (Carling) Allen, Orem; Ardyth (Doyle) West, Castro Valley, CA; a special nephew, Jack (Delores) Skewes, Duchesne; 42 grandchildren, 12 and extensive extended family. Funeral services held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at the Duchesne LDS Stake Center. Crofts Galley Dale Marion Galley, age 66, of Ballard, passed away March 6, 2001, at his home. He was bom July 10, 1934, in Maeser, , to Lawrence B. and Isabel Caldwell Galley. He married Valine Dye on July 22, 19S4, and she died November8, 1973. He then married Margaret Fredrickson on July 26, 1974. Dale loved his children, grandIn children, and the early years ofhis life in Roosevelt, he was an active member ofthe first Duchesne County Jeep Posse (Search and Rescue), and enjoyed coachir young boys in the art of baseball i football. Dale and Valine spent many, many hours hunting arrowheads and collecting rocks. For thirty yean when the fire whistle blew, Dale rushed to the firehouse where he served as a Roosevelt City Volunteer Fireman. He also served as anofilcer with the Lions Club and the Roosevelt Commercial Club. Asayoungboyhe loved to fish and he always pursued the lunker." On any given day in the spring, summer, or foil, Dale and Marge could be found at a favorite fishing hole, waitingfor the "bigone to bite. In 1966, Dale bagged one of the firstelk that was harvested on the Southom Slope ofthe Uintahs. Hunt-ingel- k and deer, as the yean passed, were an important activity ofhis life. He was an avid sports fon with the Utah Jazi being his favorite team. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, Ballard; Stacy (Marjorie) Galley, Vernal; Valerie (Chuck) Johnson, Modesto, CA; David Miller, Tetra Garcia, and Annie (Jim) Hunt, all of Roosevelt; 11 grandchildren and 4 Ora Leona Hanks Crofts passed away March 7, 2001 in Duchesne, Utah at the age of 89. She was bom June 25, 1911 in Salem, Utah to George William Hanks and Zina Elisabeth Stone. She married Eugene Edward Crofts November 10, 1931 in Brigham City, Utah. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1968. Cm received her schooling in Salem, Utah and Burley, Idaho. She went to nursing school at the Trade Tech hi Provo after her husband passed away. She worked in the maternity ward at Payson Hospital for many yean. Ora was an active member in the Church ofJesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints andheld positions inthe Primary asateacher and in the presidency, and also in the Young Womens organization as a teacher. Oraeqjoyed knitting fancy sweaters, painting with oils, crocheting; working with plastic canvas, planting flowers, and working in her yard. She eqjoyed people and always hada cheerfUl greeting for them. Ora is survived by three sons, Duaine (Ida) Crofts, American Fork, Crofts, Duchesne, UT, one daughter, Bonnie Bennett, Alpine, AZ, one daughter-in-laMelvina, Delta, UT; 22 grandchildren, 76 and 5 Her brother, Bob (Bonnie) Hanks, Burley, ID, sister, Donna Gardner, St. Georgs, UT, sister-in-laMary Hanka, Burley, ID, brother-in-laJimmy Orr, Jacksonville, FL. The Cougarettes have four graduating seniors leaving this year: Shayla Allred, Kassie Chapman, Tori Rhodes and Shayna Rasmussen. All four seniors were selected for the Drill Team. tTT' V DRILL MEMBERS Three and girls perform their routine toI Just Can't Wait to be King, complete with lion tails. The youngsters were taught theirdance number by members of the Union High Drill Team as part of the Cougarettes annual Spring Revue. PRE-SCHO- retired and moved to their home in Alamo in 1979. They enjoyed the out of doors and liked to explore ghost towns and old mining towns through out Nevada, also hunting, fishing and camping. She loved cattle, horses, and sheep, and raised beautiful flowers and gardens. Waldine loved people and recited poetry for everyone. She served in the LDS Church in many capacities, including extraction work. She loved the gospel. She help found the Lincoln County Senior Citizens program and was honored by the Governor of Nevada. They eiyoyed many trips. Their life centered around their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was able to remember all birth dates withing 2 weeks of her passing. Waldine ia survived by her five children, Peggy (Bob) Cooper, Pagosa Springs, Co., Bill (Karen) Sorensen, Talmage,LaRoee (Don) Fowler, Boise, D., Elaine (Nolan) Shumway, and Aida (Vaughn) Hibgee, Alamo, NV., Twenty-si- x grandchildren, and sixty great grandchildren. Services were held February 26, 2001 in Alamo, Nevada, with interment in Niko, Nevada cemetery under the direction of Wiecombe Funeral Home. Alternative Health Center open in Roosevelt Construction has recently been completed on the new 3,500 square-fobuilding that now houses the Uintah Basin Alternative Health Center, owned by Dr. Terrance Cooper. The Uintah Basin Stress Therapy Clinic, Cooper Chiropractic Clinic, and Vivatek Certified Center have all joined together in the new building. The Uintah BaainStress Therapy Center has two to four new massage therapists who will provide massage for stress, auto accidents, work compensation accidents and just plain relaxation and pampering! A stress relief therapy session includes the works and lasts about two hours. Sorenfcen Waldine Evans Sorensen, age 91, passed away on February 20,200 1 at her home in Alamo, Nevada, Shei born January 6, 1910 in Randlett Utah to William Rand Martha Ellen Sego Evans. Married Harold A Sorensen in Park City, Utah, September 28, 1935, later solemnized in theSL GeorgeTemple. He died March 19, 1981. The Evans family moved to Boneta early in her lift where she lived until she was married. Hap and Waldine owned a ranch and dairy in Talmage. Darrell is recuperating from a recent shoulder surgery. His wife was attending meetings in Salt Lake. Lena Thomas returned home on Wednesday after spendinga week in Casper WY. with her son Dee, Chris and their sons. Rachel Hendersen spend five weeks in Leeds with her daughter Kathy and Charles Scott. They all hadagnod time. Venla Gee was visited by her sister Rea and Neal Carter of Cedar City. Neals brother was in the hospital very ill. After receiving a phone call informing Neal that his brother had taken a turn for the worse they left immediately for Salt Lake to see him. They all went to dinner at the Wagon Wheel Cafo. After dinner ILirnld delivered everyone home. The Gees had spent three days in Murray visiting with ! Max. The Feb. Mothers Club was held on Feb 1 at the liomc of Barbra Rowley. Three new members were initialed: Elaine Bistiyski, Valery Spencer, and Merolee McKee. The new members furnished the program. Hostesses were Barbra Rowley, Carolyn Moon and Margie Van Tassle. At this writing Pauline Brown, who has been very ill, is much improved. We send her our best wishes.
