Emmett and Dorothy Evans 8 year old nephew passed away of cancer of the brain. He was the son of Darrin and Ann Reid. His name was Randy Reid. His funeral was on Mon. 25 in Preston Idaho. Emmett and Dorothy Evans and their children Jodis ft Carl Reilley of Duchesne, Jeff and Joan Evans and children of Heber. Their daughter Stacey Mecham of Roosevelt went up with her folks. They all got snowed in and had to take an extra day. Alton and Sue Wilds spent this last Sunday up in Oakley with Altons Mbs Parlay ana Wilds. Vernal Bromley passed away on Sat 24 of Feb. just a month and three days after his wife Afton. There was a viewing at the Duchesne Stake Center on Wed. 27. Hie funeral waa by all of hie grand and great grand children. Brian Thomaa and hie friend of Caaper Wyo. drove down on Sunday March 3 where they spent a couple of days with hie grandmother Lena Thomas and hie great grandmother Nellie Nelson. Darrin and Anna Brawn and eon Aueton drove down from Pullman Wash, to spend sometime with her folks Dean and Pam Paterson, also Jeanie and Wayne Baatian and daughter Debbie and Karl Hirchi and two children spent the weekend in Layton with a daughter Linda ana David Barney and three email eons. On Sunday March 3rd, all attended the bleasing of Jeanie and Waynes grandson. A1 and Barbara Barney, his parents and family were also in attendance for the blessing. The baby was blessed by his father David and given the name Devin Raey Barney. After the services, 21 family members enjoyed a dinner atLinda and David home. Michelle and daughter Jackie travelled to Moab on March 1st. Jackie participated in a Volley Ball tournament. She took 3rd place out of 41 teams. Jackie ana her mother returned home on Sunday March 3. On February 7, JoAnne Horrocks flew to Spokane Washington to assist her daughter Denise Southerland who had broken her ankle. JoAnn was there for 2 12 weeks taking care of her grandson, Daniel while hie mother Denise was recovering from her surgery. JoAnne, Denise Daniel then flew back to Salt Lake on February 23, where Denises brother Bruce and his family met them and drove them to Neola. On Sunday February 25, Denise received word of her mother in laws death. On the 29th, she flew to Miami Florida to attend the funeral. She met her husband Barry Southerland down there. She left Daniel their son with his grandparents. Blaine and JoAnne and Uncle Derick, Denise returned to Neola on March 3, and will remain with her parents until tbs 19 of March. Because she has to stay i crutches and is unable to take care of her eon, JoAnne, Denise and her son Daniel will fly back to Spokane on the 19. JoAnne will help the family until Denise is able to walk. Many of the schools made Valentines for the residents. Myton 2nd ward came two evenings with their young men and women about 50 of them, and sang many beautiful songs under the direction of Brent Van Taaeell, Susan Foote, Kim Harding, Mary Perkins, James Lemon ana Marsha Aland. The residents loved to eing along with the group.
