G. Mantyla, Roosevelt. Mrs. Lucy Edwards would like to thank her many friends for the kind letters and get well cards that she has received. She Is sorry to Inform her friends that It will be about three weeks before she Is out of the hospital and many weeks before she will be able to return home. She was recovering very nicely from her knee operation she had on March 13, while recovering at her daughters, Louise Despains home on March 30th she became very 111 and was taken by ambulance to St. Marks hospital. Reading Land at Easter Time based on Programmed Reading, was the theme of the program which included reading songs and dances with all of the students participating. One of the numbers was a war dance performed by Charles Ankerpont, Lyle Jenks, Shane Jenks and Christine Thompson. Directing the program was Mrs. Joan Handy and Mrs. Costumes were by Mrs. Zola Allred and Mrs, Norma Denver. Court of Honor for Roosevelt Sunday with Troop 270 of Neola as host.
