Submitted by Roosevelt Assistant Fire Chief Ryan Larsen 1 Hello Uintah Basin, I haw been looking forward to writing an article in the Standard that could be used by the people in our area to help keep their homes or businesses safer, which mqy include general safety tips, product recalls that we receiw as a fire department or any numerous other items that I feel you might be interested in. Lets start by introducing the Roosevelt Fire Department to you. We haw 18 volunteer firefighters. Our bylaws require that each of its members become certified to a level one firefighter within one year of acceptance date. Burnell married Jennette Davidson on June 5, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Their first home, a mile north of the town of Tabiona, had no indoor plumbing and no electricity. Together they did all they could to make a good life for them and the six children who joined them. Burnell logged, raised sheep and milked cows, and for many years he did all of the work with his team and his saddle horse Smoky. Finally he was able to get a herd of Herefords, g his desire. He learned to love Herefords as a boy when he helped his dad herd cows in Red Creek.
