He died October 19, 1967. Alifelong resident of the Ballard area, she was active in the LDS Church serving as Blazer teacher in Primary, Mia Maid teacher and Visiting Teacher. She is survived by sons and daughters, Norman Rasmussen, Upland, California; Aaron Rasmussen, Max Rasmussen and Heber Rasmussen, Ballard; Mrs. Philip (Sharon) Bleyl, Phoenix; Mrs. Ron (Carol) Huntzinger, Hayward, California; Lloyd Rasmussen, Conyers, Georgia; Joseph Rasmussen, Riverside, California; 33 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and siBter, Ester Dye, Salt Lake. Laurence Givens Givens L. died in the early morning January 4 in the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake following a lingering illness. He was born August 22, 1920 in Strawberry, Duchesne County, to James Albert and Mary Myrtle Wheeler Givens. He married Delila Bernice Anderson November 7, 1940 in Duchesne. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. lie was an active member of the LDS Church, where he served as secretary of the Elders Quorum and Sunday School teacher in the Milton Ward, Boy Scout leader in the Ogden 6th Ward and in the Roy 1st Ward Genealogical Society for three years. He worked for 19 years at B & H Radiator and Welding in Ogden. He served in the UB. Navy in the South Paciflc for 28 months during World War II. He is survived by wife, Fruitland; children, Mrs. Floyd (Lida Rae) Kearl and JameB Alfred Givens, Layton; Mrs. Kent (Bonnie Jean) Young, Fruitland; eight grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren; brothers, Burle Givens, Grand Junction; LaMar GivenB, Ballard; Alex Givens, Grantsville, Utah; and sisters, Chloe Slaugh, Jensen; Ona Emms, Springville.
