Miaa Mecham ie the daughter id Mr. and Mrs. Glenn B. Mecham, Mt. Home. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stringham, Price, are parents of the groom. Miss Sherry Mecham and Gary Stringham will be married in the Salt Lake Temple Thursday, April 1 2. Miaa Mecham graduated from Ahamont high school in 1978 and attended Snow College. Mr.Stringham graduated from Ahamont high school in 1974 and served a mission for the LDS Church to the Canada Halifax Mission. He also attended Snow College. A reception honoring the couple will be held April 18 at the Moon Lake Ward cultural hall from 8 to 11 p.m. The couple plan to make their home in Mt Home. Eightieth birthday celebration Wednesday, March 21, with a dinner at the Red Flame Cafe in Salt Lake City, hosted by her son Glen and his family. Mrs. Pickup began her employment with First Security on May 26, 1968, for $1.01 per hour, and opened her teller window for the first time on October 17, 1968. People and changes -from the hand crank adding machine to the new computer terminal now in her window - have made the work interesting and challenging. Custom-- . ers, both old and new, often wait in the lobby for Jessie to wait on them for they like the personal interest which she shows in them. The Indian customers are especially partial to Jessie, as she knows most of them by name and can speak their language. The staff as well as the customers will feel there is something missing without her. Jessie was born in Missouri and her family moved to Utah when Jessie was about 10. Culture club . The regular meeting of the Culture Club was held Thursday, March 22, at the hone of Norma coDenver with Lena Daniels hostess. Following the business meeting, dessert was served. Ten members were in attendance. Norita DUP u , The DUP meeting was held for the Norita Camp Thursday, March 22. Nine members attended. Ike meeting was held at the American Legion building with Bernice Attwood and Violet Lott hostesses. It was decided to see about a DUP plaque for Ahonah and Mt Emmona. A light lunch was served. ' She is married to LaRuo Pickup, and they own and operate a farm in Randlett! They are the parents of two children and have five grandchildren. Jessie is active in the LDS Church and has held numerous positions within the church. She is looking forward to the free time her retirement will allow for work in her garden, and visiting with her children and her mother- in St. George. Sowarda la the LDS Church Regional Representative for A Journey through the life of Christ in scripture and aong will be portrayed by the Roosevelt Utah West Stake Relief Society Chorus Saturday, April 7, at the Roosevelt West Stake Center. Beginning at 7:80 p.m., the program will consist of various numbers depicting the birth, life and return-'- ' tion of Jesus Christ, interspersed with scriptural readings. The concert is under the direction of Noreen Roberts, Stake Relief Society Music Director, and Eloise Adams, Stake Relief Society President, assist- ed the kjr music directors this area. The Seventies Quorum of the West Stake is also helping sponsor the concert and will have displays on the life of Christ in the foyers and win be available . to answer any questions regarding the saviour's ministry.
