Show Mr, and Mrs. William Timothy, Mr. and Mrs, Cloyd Timothy and Darleen Timothy all of Provo spent the weekend visiting at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Timothy. STANDARD . Mr, and Mrs, Ray Labrum, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Labrum and DeAnn and Brent Bastlan motored to Denver Sunday Aug. 10. They also visited the Rocky ML ' Natl park. Mr, and Mrs. Ray Labrum went to Colo. Springs and the others visited In Grand Junction with Mrs. Ed Labium's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Blake Ramsey, Upton, Calif, Mrs. Eva Sprouse, Phoenix, Arlz. Mrs. Marie Ward and Ted, Terry and Kenny McDaniel, Orem spent a few days last week with their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Sprouse. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Jenkins, Ogden spent the weekend In Roosevelt visiting with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Laris and family enjoyed a trip to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone Park. They returned home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Bolton and family were Salt Lake visitors last week. Their children remained In Salt Lake for a weeks visit with relatives. Dr: Lorene Allen was a weekend guest at the Nathan Allen residence. Michael Root returned home the forepart of last week after filling a two year mission in the eastern Atlantic States. -- Mrs. Erma Labrum was an over night guest at the home of Mr. and Mra. Rts-ha- rd Adams, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Mark McGuire, Maryland visited In Roosevelt with friends and relatives last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Ariel Mlchle flew to Houston, Tex. last Sunday. There was a group of 10 people from an airspace class, they had taken last June. Monday they toured Galveston and Houston. Tuesday they had a guided tour of Nasa Space Center. They visited the control room where the space flights are controlled. They returned to Hill Field Wednesday. When Mr. and Mrs. Richard Harmston were tn route to Carmel, Calif, on their honeymoon they had a serious accident near Elko, Nev. Mrs. Harmston suffered a broken back and Is In a cast Their car was a total loss. They are visiting with Ms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Harmston at the present. on Eldon Wlnterton, Salt Lake, Don and Mrs. Ronald Harper, Idaho Falls were guests at the Van Wlnterton Wln-tert- residence Saturday and Sunday. Mr. Hr-p- er came to get his wife and family who have spent a few weeks with her parents. Mrs. Lester Swain, Ogden, spent afew days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orrln Gardner. The family of Mrs. Vern Allred held U. B. Ranch over the weekend. They enjoyed fishing and visiting. Those who attened from out of the Basin were Mrs. Reed Session, Ogden, Mr, and Mrs. J. R. Allred, Logan, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Session and sons, Afton, Wyo, also some from Vernal. Mr, and Mrs. Lynn Labrum and Mr, and Mrs. Lloyd Nelson enjoyed a weekend visit to Sun Valley, Ida. Jane Jackson, Salem, Ore. Is visiting with the Lynn Lab rums. She Is the daughter ' of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Jackson. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Jenkins have moved to Roosevelt where they will remain for about 6 weeks. Then they will make their home In Dearborn, Mich, where Dennis has employment with the Ford a reunion at the ' Co. Mr. and Mrs. Gam Lloyd and family, visited with his parents, Sprlngville Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lloyd, from Saturday until Tuesday and accompanied them and Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Lloyd on a camping trip In White rocks Canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Llsonbee was also a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lloyd. Visiting In Roosevelt and attending the open house honoring Mr. and. Mrs. Larry Labrum were Mrs. Homer P. Edvards, Mr, and Mrs. Elmo Nelson, Salt lake; Mrs. Jesse Allen, St. . George and Mr. and Mrs. Mark McQulre, Clnclnnattl, Ohio. G&QRC G02 lf 1 Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Walker took their son Allen to Salt Lake on Friday to catch the plane to FL Ord, Calif, where he Is stationed. He had been home to Ms brother, Leslies funeral who was killed In Vietnam. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Huber and two children of Texas have been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Huber and other relatives the past week. Clayton Is an LDS bishop In one of the wards there. Mr. and Mrs. Orvel Hulllnger and 2 daughters of Roosevelt and son Errol and wife visited the George Bigelows on Sunday, Errol Is home on furlough. He has been stationed at San Diego, Calif, for the past year. He will leave for Vietnam September 1. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Moore and 2 daughters, Pamla and Dixie visited with Mrs. Moores sister, Mrs. Hazel Daveys and family In Wyoming during the week. Bobby Rich who has been staying with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rich of Lapolnt was a patient at the Vernal Hospital during the week. Martin Huber son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Huber left Sunday for Michigan. He has been home on a furlough to attend the funeral of his cousin, Leslie Walker. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hartle and son Duane were In Salt Lake on Tuesday. Mrs. Opal (Foster) Perry of Portland, Ore. visited her son, Charles Perry and family and her Aunt Mrs. Mary Jarrell Mr. and Mrs. Art Taylor and other relatives and friends here. She was a former resident of Lapolnt. Louise Rasmussen and four of her nieces from Ogden visited her father Merrill Rasmussen and others here the weekend. Mrs. Mary Jean Moos man and two children of Clinton are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Kump and her sisters Mrs. Bert Angus and Mrs. Doug Wall at Vernal. The following were visitors at the Mildred Movery home the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Nyle Angus and 2 children of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Perry, (Daun Gagon) of Granger, Larry Swain and 2 daughters of California. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Moore and daughter, Dixie were Salt Lake visitors on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs.. Nyle Angus and 2 children of Salt Lake visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Angus and family the weekend. Myrtle and Louise Christensen and husbands visited the Orville Swains during the week. They were former residents of Lapolnt. Louise lives at Orem and Myrtle In California. The following were visitors at the Mary Jarrells and Art Taylors home during the week, Mr, and Mrs. Roy Foster and family of Bountiful, Mr. and Mrs. Art Curtis and boys of Richfield and Mr. and Mrs. Morris Vernon and Russel Vernon and Mrs. Jim (Helen) Vernon of Vernal, Jim Vernon Is in the services and stationed at Saigon. Mrs. Margaret Loranger entertained for ladles of the T and C club Friday Ught refreshments were served. Unexpected company at the Max Nelson home Friday were Lucille and Shirl Tay- lor and son Max. Maxine and Jon Hill and son all of Salt lake. LucUle was a close friend and neighbor of Nelsons for a number of years. Other weekenders were sons Larry and Errol from ManUa. Fern and Leo Larson from Salt lake and three of Errols school chums from Heber. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Shaw enjoyed a visit from Mrs. Shaws sisters In law, Mrs. Myrtle MacCabe and Mrs. Florence Ray and two friends, Mrs. Ann Williams and Miss Estella Ford all from Denver. Visiting at the James Powell home the weekend were Joyce and Garden Powell and famUy from Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Mecham from there. Mr, and Mrs, Kenneth Hartle uncf daughters, Kenna Dee and Leann visited . their son, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hartle at Salt Lake and went thru the temple on Wednesday then went to Richfield and visited their son Max Hartle and family and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hartle and Mr. and Mrs. Max Hartle went to the Mantl Temple and did Temple work there. Mr. and Mrs. BUI Miller of Bountiful visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Swain the weekend. Mr. 'and Mrs. Max Hartle and 3 children of Richfield visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hartle family and other relatives here the weekend. Visitors at the Travis Neilson and Della Burton home during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Lex Burton and family from Craig, Colo, and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Gurr and 2 girls from Vernal. Mrs. Mary Jarrell will celebrate her 93rd birthday, August 17. She lives with her daughter Mr. and Mrs. Art Taylor in Lapolnt. 133550 Stacey Kyle and Steven Anderton from Kearns visited their grandparents, Mr, and Mrs. Reed Anderton during the week. They came by plane to stay with their grandmother, Mrs. Mildred Anderson while their twin sisters were recuperating from eye surgery. Levi J. Anderton from Monroe spent a day with his brother Reed Anderton. She was taken to the hospital for examination and released to go home on crutches with one leg being badly bruised and sprained. The club climaxed their event with a swim at Dale Andersons pond. and Mrs. Byron Bowden and Mr, daughter returned Sunday night from a weeks vacation of camping at Lodge Pole park with daughter Patsy and Manfred Nielsen and Torri from Salt Lake. Bowdens visited In Magna with Helen and Spencer Larsen and with their daughter T.iiq and Don Swartz who came via jet from lea Vegas, Nev. to go through the LDS Temple. Howard and Minnie Crapo enjoyed a visit from their niece Natalie and husband Tom Phoenix, Arlz, Some of the members of the second ward attending Temple sessions In Salt Lake Friday werg Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Young, Dr. and Mrs. Dan Dennis, Mrs. yioU Luke and Mr, and Mrs. George Thatcher, - Price. Mr. and Mrs. James E. Hamblin motored to Logan to witness the Temple marriage of their son Alden and llene Storey, Friday. James and Ruth Hamblin and famUy came from Salt Lake to the reception held In Vernal Friday night. Mrs. Ida Anderton and Mrs. Merle Anderton went to Salt Lake Sunday moving Idas daughter Linda and Ila Solmonson out to the city where they will attend the Continental School of Beauty. Mr. and Mrs. Remo Hamblin motored to Salt Lake Saturday to attend graduation services at the University of Utah where son David received his masters degree In Sciences and Math. David wUl be teaching at Union this fall. Hamblins brought their grandson Darell home with them. Del mar Hamblin completed a four weeks math workshop in Heber Wednesday. His wife Barbara and children went to Salt Lake to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fetzer, coming back to Heber to attend a social held Friday at the finish of the classes. Mr, and Mrs. Bill Brown and three children of GalnsvUle, Fla. are visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Car- rol. The George Carrol family held a reunion ft the Yellowstone camp. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith of Murray were visiting their son Grant and Ms wife Cookie also visiting with the Smiths were his sister Lillian and husband, Willard Snyder. They also visited with the . Gerald Jabocsons, Lucy and Willard are brother and sister. Visiting with the Ralph Allreds were their son Rex and family of Rangley and their son Udell and son of Orem. They took care of Ruth and Andy Allreds children while they took their sick baby to Salt Lake he Is Improved at this writing. Lioyd, John and David Barton have been spending some time with their grand parents, the Ted Bartons of Sandplte. lioyd and John returned home but David remained with them for another week. llez Ames and daughter Dora Bruns-wl- k and son, motored to Kanosh to a nieces wedding and to the Edwards family reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Pugsley and baby daughter of Salt Lake spent the weekend with Maries parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Monsen. Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Iroge, made a trip by boat down the Green River . They left from Rainbow Island and went down to Dlnasaur. In In The Altamont Saddlettes won 1st place their drill and 1st place in the parade Heber last weekend. They also won in the district and will go back on the Regional meet and will also ride Friday night at the Fair. The Lawrence Weeks visited In Salt you -- Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bowen of Gran- ger spent Saturday night with their rents the Grant Smiths. Sandra McDonald had the mlsfortune of stepping on .a pitchfork Wednesday evening. She was taken to the Roosevelt hospital for treatment. She Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Val McDonald of tyt. Emmons. Mr. and Mrs. Val McDonald spent the weekend In Salt Lake on a combined business and pleasure trip, Vals sister, Jackie of Talmage accompanied them. She will spend the next week with another sister Joy lorg. club sponsors rodeo In Montwel 4-- H A twel junior rodeo will be held in the Monarena August 29 beginning at 7 p.m. It Is being sponsored by the Rocky MouWranglers H club. Proceeds will go towards expenses of the club. The entry deadline wUl be 6:30 the evening of the rodeo. Dale Anderson wlU register the entries. Events planned Include bareback Shetland riding; cow riding, barrel racing, pole bending, a keyhole race, calf roping (break away); goat tying for girls and calf tying for boys.
