Kimball killed in accident Funeral services were held at the Deseret Mortuary at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Salt Lake City for Glen Chester a former Roosevelt who was killed last Friday night when struck by an automobile as he was crossing busy Beck Street in Salt Lake He was pronounced dead at p.m. in a Salt Lake where he was taken following the which about an hour and a half after the Police said Kimball ran across Beck Street at 1479 Friday at about p.m. and was struck by a southbound auto operated by Kongi of Salt Lake The impact carried the victim on the auto's hood for feet and he then fell off and rolled 40 Hospital attendants listed his injuries as compound fractures of both legs and head Witnesses told Officers Dee Throckmorton the victim had involved in an altercation shortly before the mishap and that he walked north on Beck The person believed involved in the altercation with the victim drove north in a grcen-and-white sedan and was being sought by the Utah Highway Patrol and Bountiful After consulting with the Salt Lake County attorney's office it was decided there was not sufficient evidence to press the investigation of the altercation that death was the result of injuries suffered when struck by Kimball was bom April at Uintah County a son of Byron and Alda Searle He attended school at Ne-ola and where his family lived for many moving from the Basin a few years He resided in Salt Lake City and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Surviving are his Salt Lake a Coeur two Buddy Dean and LaRance also of a Sarah Salt Lake and a Leland Los Graveside services and burial took place at the Roosevelt City cemetery Wednesday |
