For Gala July 24th Day Plans are completed for an celebration action-cramme- d on Saturday, July 24, at 'Tabiona, according to Bishop Burnell Turnbow, with all proceeds earmarked for the ward building fund. (That new church is really costing the money but worth every cent of it, of course). Special committees have been appointed and are hard at work with the preliminary preparations, with all events scheduled to take place right in town. So if you would like to beat the heat, celebrate July 24th in one of Utahs coolest and most beautiful valleys, at 6600 elevation, where we think 85 degrees is hot. A parade will bewith Mrs. the festivities, gin LaBerta Wadley, Mrs. Grace Giles, and Mrs. Edna Smith, the Primary officers, in charge. Earch organization in the community is expected to enter a float. Hanna is invited to enter floats, according to the commitfor the parade tee. Theline-uwill be at the school house at 9:30 a.m. and the parade will begin at 10:00. The floats will be regular size and miniature and the advance word is that it will be worthwhile to come to the celebration in tune for the parade. A one hour program in the new ward chapel will follow the parade, with Mrs. Leone Brown, Mrs. Amber Carter and Mrs. Gay Brady, the YWMIA officers, in charge of arrangements. Assignments have alto ready been made, according ample to provide Mrs. Brown, time for the preparations of the mbers. A luncheon period of one ur will follow the program. Two Pioneer histories will be read by Mrs. Daphne Van Tassell and Mrs. Deone' Rhoades, and some special musical numbers of song sang by the Pioneers are being arranged. Everyone is invited to attend this special program. A large crowd attended the wedding dance and reception, Friday night for Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stevenson. The former Miss Cleo Holgate and Mr. Stevenson were married July 2 in the Manti Temple. Many beautiful gifts were received. HOME FROM HOSPITAL Walter LeFevre is now convalescing at "home in Tabiona after a long stay in the LDS Hospital following his accident while logging. It is reported he is now able to be in a wheel chair. He had been on the mountain getting out lumber to build their new home in Pleasant Valley and became ill. He returned home Thursday and has been ill since, but is better at the present. HOME FROM NAVY Mr. and Mrs. Leon Brown returned home Saturday from California, where Leon has been stationed. He has been released after 4 years service with the Navy. Teresa Faun, was also glad to welcome the newcomer. NEWS ABOUT THE BOYS IN SERVICE The hospital seem to be providing part of the servicemen's news lately, with Deloy Chat-wiwho is serving in the U. S. Navy, reported hospitalized in Korea. Deloy is reported suffering from yellow fever, contacted while on a tour of duty in Korean waters with the Navy. We all wish him a quick and complete recovery. Ted D. Nye is reported still in the hospital at Hawaii. DeLyle Giles, who is serving in the U. S.
