No alterations or additions shall be made in existing wiring, nor shall any wiring be installed, or any apparatus which generates, transmits, transforms or utilizes any electricity, without first obtaining a permit therefor, except minor repair work such as repairing flush and snap switches, replacing fuses, changing lamp sockets and receptacles, taping bare joints and repairing drop cords. Applications for such permit, describing such work, shall be made in writing and shall conform, as far as practicable to the requirements set forth in the building code as to the extent of information disclosed. Plumbing is defined as the performing of any mechanical work pertaining to the installation, altera-- j tion, change, repair, removal, maintenance and use in build-- j ings or on the premises there-abouts of the pipes, fixtures and fittings for bringing in the water supply and removing water carrying and liquid wastes, and every connection discharging, direct or indirect, into the building drainage systems and shall include the water supply, distribution pipes, fixtures and fixture traps, the soil, waste and vent pipes, the roof drains drain, building where installed inside the walls of a building, settling traps, sewer connections, septic tanks and cesspools with their devices, appurtenances and connections. Arden Clements of Duchesne visited over the weekend with Russell Ivie. Reeves White of Duchesne spent the weekend with Stephen Lott. Thomas and Ralph Olsen went to Clearfield for the week end to visit with their sister and family. Mr. Lloyd Beckstead, David Bates and Winton White, all of Duchesne, were present at the Sunday services in the Strawberry Ward. They rendered several very fine musical numbers. Mrs. Luane Larsen was their accompainist. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Olsen were in from Salt Lake to call on their family. While they were here. Bud did the brick work on a fireplace in the new home of Mrs. Noma Rowley. Roosevelt visitors this week included Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Bates. Mr. William Hayes was an overnight visitor at his home. He has been in Nine Mile work- and children visited recently at the Harold Sorensen home. Mr. and Mrs. Murl Donohue have returned home from a k visit in Salt Lake City. Their son, Gerald, who is stationed at Fort Ord, Calif., is here on furlough. Mrs. Janet Sudreth of Wendell, Idaho, is visiting, her sister, Mrs. Leah Christensen and family and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geddes Lindsay at Mt. Home. Students of the 4th, 5th and 6th grades and their teachers ataended the stock show at Altamont Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Rust of Rangely, Colorado, visited the Glen Sorensens for a couple of days last week. Bertha Anderson of Provo spent the weekend with her parents, the George Andersons.
