Show Church Notes TABIONA Mrs. Thelma D, Nye :: Donkey Basketball Organize To Get Raises Top Wool Prices Funds For Band x Laughs by the carload were enjoyed by all who watched the hectic Donkey Basketball game sponsored by the Tabiona High School band last Tuesday evening. The band fathers, of Hanna and Tabiona competed. The final score of Tabiona 12, Hanna 6, was the smallest part of the evenings entertainment. It was better than any rodeo you ever saw, with the papas so busy trying to ride those they had bucking little time for playing basketball. And many a spill and many a thrill even if they managed to stay on a few seconds was on the agenda. The donkeys had glamorous names such as Lana Turner, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Red Skelton, etc., but it was the one called Atom Bomb which really tested the bronc riding alskill of the contestants contributed others the though their fair share of the bucking honors plus plenty of just plain cussed ornriness. It was meant to be a novelty and it SURELY WAS. and The gym was packed I have never heard anyone complain yet- that they didnt get their moneys worth in this one. Most said it was better than any Wild West Rodeo. . . and the basketball score was really the least of the excitemej. In fact some of the riders never did touch that basketball as they had all they could do to try to ride a bucking donkey. A beautiful silk quilt made by the Band Mothers, was given away on a lucky ticket during the game, with Leo' Defa, Hanna, as the fortunate winner. jack-asse- Twenty-siranchers of the upper Duchesne River have organized a Wool Growers Association for the purpose of obtaining a better market for their products and the possible cutting of expenses through cooperative buying.
