JENSEN County Agent now It appears that there is a good possibility for a federal appropriation for improvement of county roads. At least we have hopes. Last week I received a request from the State Road Commission for assistance in obtaining facts to present at the hearing in Washington. It appears that special attention is being given to mail and milk routes. Maps were prepared showing the roads which are being used for these two purposes in the county. We hope that favorable action will be taken and I am sure that no one questions the necessity for better roads in this area. We now have a possibility of obtaining a practicing veterinarian. Dr. P. V. Christofferson has indicated an interest and a meeting was held last week with the stockmen to formulate a program to bring him to this area. It was decided to appoint community chairmen who will explain the program to the people and accept a small payment from those who wish to help raise the necessary funds to insure veterinary service here.
