Tractor Owners Many of you have undoubtedly been wondering since reading in the Salt Lake Tribune of the lawsuit between Harry Ferguson and the Ford Tractor Co. just what effect this action may have on our dealership in this area. For eight years Fitzgerald Tractor Company has been franchised dealer for the Harry Ferguson System, Inc. Under a the contract between Ferguson and Ford, Ford manufactured the tractor, with the Ferguson patent built in, and Ferguson manufactured the farm equipment. All were distributed by Ferguson. The present legal action brought by Ferguson is to determine whether or not the Ferguson patent which made the Ford Tractor such an outstanding farm machine will he upheld in the courts. We believe that it will be and that Ford will no longer be enabled to manufacture a tractor embracing this system. I am personally acquainted with Harry Ferguson and consider him to be an outstanding engineer in the field of farm machinery. Me, therefore, chose la continue our franchise as a lerguson dealer and cancelled our Ford dealership because we firmly believe that the patent law an ill protect the Ferguson system and that the tractor manufactured by Harry Ferguson will be far superior to anything that Ford can produce if they arc forced to discontinue the use of the Ferguson patent. The new Ferguson tractor. v hich nvc will soon have on display and for sale, v ill have a great many improvements over former Ford and lerguson models. It will have more power and greater fuel economy than the previous tractors marketed by Ferguson, and the new Ferguson system also embodies several new inventions and improvements. Among other things, it makes :t possible for the Ferguson tractor to pull a trailer with a three-toload over soft ground, slippery roads, up steep grades and over rough terrainc.' Me nv ill also have a full line of implements to add to our sloe a of farm machinery. Wc w ill continc to sen ice and repair all tractors and machinery'. Jones, of Kamas.
