After spending three days in Salt Lake City he returned home and it is reported he passed the examination and will report for duty in the United States army on August 20th. A farewell party and dance has been arranged by the Boneta Ward and will be held Wednesday of next week. Keith Pace was rushed to Salt Lake Friday for medical attention. It was suspected that he had appendicitis but after & complete examination the doctor said that it was a nervous reaction and nothing serious. He will return home in a few days. LaVar Oman, Hugh Oman and Raymond McMillan motored to Roosevelt Thursday afternoon. Hugh went for medical examination and had an abscess on the neck lanced. After an eight weeks illness he is rapidly recovering. Miss Donna Harward spent a week with Mrs. Thelma McConkie. McConkie has received Mrs. word that her husband, Darrell McConkie, and Wallace Moffit have found work in Carlin, Nev. Miss Melva Madsen returned home Monday from Orem where she has been picking berries. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Barton and son, Jack; Fay Barton, and Jay Tidwell motored to Duchesne Saturday night to attend the show. Ray Tidwell accompanied them back. Mr. and Mr. Anthon Rust served a chicken supper Sunday evening in honor of Cloyd Poyell, who is spending part of his furlough in Mt. Emmons. Other guests were Miss Deane Case and Arnold Mecham. Mrs. Del Mecham entertained nine little girls at a party Monday afternoon, the occasion being her daughter Jeans tenth birthday.
