Show CONCERNING THE MUSIC l FESTIVAL An editorial in in last weeks week's edition of ot the Record has come cOlne i in n for considerable comment from Roosevelt citizens and from this comment it appears that the editorial l was vas not interpreted as it was vas intended We asked the question Does Roosevelt through its citizens and representatives want ant to sub substitute the he claim they have often made to fa fairness and impartiality impartial impartial- lity l- l ity or does it through them theirs want vant to refute this claim clann by demanding as their sole right and heritage all the of the educational y the cream system by demanding Spring Music l festival as a permanent Roosevelt event event 1 In placing this question we ve took the position that Roosevelt citizens in bulk were vere perhaps not in a accord cord with the position the action of the last meeting o of f the board of education placed them in and we ve wanted to find out We find we ve were vere quite right Comments from several Roosevelt citizens have revealed that they knew v little or nothing of this situation and have no desire to be placed in an unfair or uncompromising position in regards to the Spring Music Festival We want vant to make it clear that in our editorial we ve did not intend to accuse Roosevelt or its citizens of taking an unfair position We asked them if they wanted to take that position We do not believe they do SCHO SCHOOL L BOARD FINANCIAL STATEMENTS Salt Lake City Utah January 7 1939 SPECIAL BULLETIN In the approaching session of the Utah Legislature Legisla Legisla-
