Starting at the high school, the parade will - move through Duchesnes business district down U. Williams, fair board chairman, actual judging of some phases of the exhibits has been going on all day today, and will continue through tomorrow. xDis- plays have been set up at the fair exhibit buildings on the fair grounds and after the judging has been done, the general public will be invited and encouraged to view the displays. In addition to the varied line of exhibits, the livestock, farm, Clubs home, garden and division, the fair board is ready to present to the visitors an outstanding program of entertainment, which will include activities for Mom, Dad and the Kids. Four small rides, a concession booth and other midway properties are included in a carnival. A number of kids pony races for youngsters under 15 years, plus a pig scramble will fill in the Friday afternoon schedule for the younger set. Rules for these events will be found in the 1954 Premium Book, which was circulated last week, with additional copies available for those desiring them. 4-- Parachute Jump otr Saturday The second nights hors show and rodeo on Saturday will be preceded with a thrilling dual - purpose parachute, jump from 12,000 and 10,000 feet altitudes by a professional jumper, a Mr. Hansen (first name not known.) According to Mr. Williams, the parachute jump will take place at 6:45 at the fair grounds just prior to the grand entry of the rodeo and horse show, which is being sponsored jointly by the Roosevelt Riding Club and the Fair committee. Mr. Hansen with his private pilot, will arrive at the Duchesne Airport at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. He will ride in the parade and participate in other activties of the fair. At about 6:15 he will begin circling the fair grounds preparatory to making his jump. Plans are for him to light in the rodeo arena. The he will make indicates he will be-carrying two chutes when he1 drops from the plane at 12,000 feet. He will pull one rip cord at this altitude and after falling 2,000 feet, will throw away the first chute and open a second one, which will carry him to earth safely. If the evening air is quiet, Mr. Hansen says he can almost guarantee he will land in 'the arena. Another Feature Added Another feature, the Ira Dern Show, has been added to follow the Saturday night rodeo and horse show. This includes several rounds of boxing and wrestling.
