One very good father, who had engineered the raising of a large family very successfully was asked the secret of his success. I spent each Sunday, he said, fasting and praying that God would give me the wisdom I needed for the coming week to wisely meet the problems of a father. At the best, parents, with all the wisdom, tact, patience and love, that can be mustered barely make the trade in this greatest of all assignments. Some who have children, however, think that the parental task is an easy one, and all they have to do is feed end clothe their children and turn them loose on the nows range. - Children pay sure dividends, and as you sow so shall re also reap, and more often than not the enemy may creep a and sow tares in the wheat, and unless parents are wide iwake, they often reap what they do not sow. If parents, as well as the enemy, sow tares in the heat, the harvest is often a whirlwind. Restrictions must be wisely exercised by parents on a part of wis-ie activities of children, and it becomes about and where on be a their that vigil kept m 24-ho- ur loings.
