It is hoped that every community will support the Club Leader school which will be held at Rcosevelt March 23rd to 27th. Every community will be expected to send at least two club leaders, the boys and, one for the this school to take special for club leadership. There will be six trained specialists from the Utah Agricultural tol-.leto give instructions to the leaders Kith the understanding that they will go back into their communities and lead t.ae boys and giris clubs. Instructions will be given in livestock, held crop, gardening and general agriculture, especially for the men; and in cooking, sewing and canning for the girls and special health work will be given io all who attend the school. There is no objection to ladies taking part in the work outlined for the men. Some of the best club work in livestock, gardening ana poultry has been done by girls and we find that the girls who take this line of work usually have a broader vision than those who never get any experience along these lines. We feel that- Uintah Basin is being specially recognized in this work because this is probably the only place in the state, outside of Logan, where a club school will be held this year, so we feel justified in asking every community to boost for it. Club work is growing by leaps and bounds. The goal has been set for members in the Uniclub 1,000,000 ted States this year. Surely the Uintah Basin will want to be in the procession. Agriculture is coming back into its own and there is no better place in the world to raise a family than on the farm. This year Scouts will he given Club credit for doing club work. leaders who successfully lead a club will be given credit in high school or college. The flies spend the winter in the burrs hanging on the volunteer plants, in the burrs and seed cn the ground, and in the chaff piles. Burning off weed patches, ditchbanks and fencerows will kill a lot of them. Most farmers feed their chaff. If you will plow the manure under or disk it into the ground, along with vthat is left of the chaff you will do away with many more flies.
