Show JOHN E. HANSEN. 1 It's hard to realize that John E Hansen is dead. For twenty years ' ' or more liis was a familiar face in j Salt Lake, always good natnrcd, al- ways smiling, always kind and thoughtful. Still a young man, only fourty-four, just in the prime of life, ' but newspaper work demands the pace that kills and John never shirked shirk-ed work or duty. For twenty years he labored on the Dcscrct News, rising ris-ing from station to station until he attained the position of managing editor. edi-tor. He was an able writer and thor-. thor-. oughly reliable in everything he did. Apart from his career as a news paper man he was a public spirited man. He was a member of the State legislature, a member of the board of education and held other public po- sition and always discharged his duty faithfully and conscicnciously. lie was held in high esteem by a very large circle of friends and acquaintances acquaint-ances who will sadly miss him. He was a good citizen and the s'a'c is poorer because he has left it. May he enjoy a rich and ample reward for bis goodness and fidelity while here. To his widow and family the sinccrcst condolence is freely given. May He who binds up broken hearts comfort them and watch over them. |
