Show "TTTpnUS IDEA OF CHRISTIAN ERR0NSC?ENCE CORRECTED. Salt Lalio City, March 17, 1905. Fdltor Truth: Will you kindly give place to the following lines of explanation: In our issue of March 4th, 1905, I notice a few lines that convoy to your readers read-ers quite an erroneous idea of Christian Chris-tian Science and of our way oi work-Ine work-Ine Your informant is not well versed n the teachings of Christian Science ,nd I am sure you will gladly correct wrong impressions, as the facts are always best for every one concerned. Your paper stated that our churcn held a meeting on Wednesday even-to" even-to" for the purpose of giving the com-mftteo com-mftteo and members- of the houso -Absent treatment." Permit mo to say that no such meeting was over held and no effort In any way whatever what-ever was made by the Scientists to treat the committee or house, for wo never work in that way. All such efforts ef-forts to work upon Individuals to Influence In-fluence them In that way belong to ! hypnotism, and has no part in Christian Chris-tian Science. Your paper also stated that "Wo concentrated all psychic power." I would like also to say that psychic forces belong to the realm of the carnal car-nal mind and material phenomena, and In no sense are like unto the prayer of Christian Science that heals the sick. A Christian Scientist uses no means except that which Is purely spiritual or Christian and Is prayer, and never psychic, and never undertakes under-takes to Influence any person in any way except as a Christian's prayer would do. Wo will appreciate your kindness in giving place to the above. Yours sincerely, LEWIS B. COATES.
