Reporid from district, deputies show an Increase in membership all over Utah. Old lodges and now lodges have been taking In now members, and the fraternity which now has tho largest membership In America, and S rapidly extending to foreign coun-f coun-f tries, seems to bo faring as well here as anywhere. Reports of relief ex-j ex-j tended were very gratifying, but as this brotherhood believes in not letting let-ting tho right hand know what tho I left hand doeth in the way of asslst- ance to tho needy, for tho burying of i the dead, tho caring for tho sick, and the education of tho orphan, no figures are at hand. Sufficient to say all members of tho Grand Lodge were highly pleased at I tho showing. Not the least important of the re ports made were those of tho representatives repre-sentatives from this jurisdiction to tho Sovereign Grand Lodge. The order or-der is prospering nil over the world as It never has before prospered and tho future looks bright Indeed. During Dur-ing tho year 1903, tho year upon which tho reports were based, there was expended ex-pended In tho United States for tho relief of tho distressed $4,320,509.19. Tho records show that during the years from 1830 to 1893, both Inclusive, Inclu-sive, tho Odd Fellows of this country have expended for relief tho enormous sum of ?100,795,034.61. If Is believed that no other fraternal order In existence exist-ence lias such a record. There are C7 grand lodges In this country and grand lodges in each of tho following foreign countries: Germany, Ger-many, Denmark, Australia, Netherlands. Nether-lands. Sweden and Switzerland. The lodgo members number 1,151,421. Tho encampment members total up 1G7,-849. 1G7,-849. Itehekah members 447,587. Speaking of relief: During tho year 1U03 the order attended and conducted con-ducted tho funerals of 11,042 members; mem-bers; It relieved 113,379 brothers, nnd took care of 5.9C8 families of widows. It was a great year for the fraternity, and no wonder It Is growing. Tho constitution of tho Ro bokah assembly was also approved. Salt Lake City wa3. selected as tho next place of meeting, although Uph Homer wanted It to go to Provo. In tho evening the officers of tho grand lodge, after Installation, witnessed the work of tho degree staff of Fidelity Lodgo No. 17. Tho Canton members conferred tho degreo upon a candidate on Tuosdny night, and then visited the room whoro tho degreo staff or Bingham No. 10 put on tho work In an admlrablo manner. man-ner.
