A stringed orchestra was stat-H, stat-H, ' ioncd in the upper hall and played H1 the wedding march as the bridal pars' par-s' i ty descended the stairs and took their B- places. The ceremony was pcrform- cd by Bishop Scanlait. The ribbon H bearers were Gertrude Edwards and i Morris Daly. LitMc , Brownie and Evelyn Browne as (lower girls carried car-ried baskets of pink and white sweet h peas, which were scattered before H the bride. The bridesmaids, Miss Mil- H drcd McMillan and Miss Mercy Ed- H wards, were charming in soft white H radium gowns, made in empire effect, H combined with lace and touches of H pink and. rhincstonc buckles. They H wore wreaths of pink rosebuds and H carried pink roses, Miss Eudora Da H ly, the maid of honor, wore a hand- H some imported gown in empire effect H of lace and silver cloth, carrying a H shower hoquct of pink roses and pink H sweet peas tied with tulle. Mrs. T. H Ray Browne, matron of honor, also I ill wore an imported empire gown of soft H!" radium silk. and rare lace, with pink H roses for her boquct. The bride's H gown was an exquisite Paris creation H of Duchess and Brussels lace, with H the veil of the same rich lace. Lilies H of the valley fastened the veil and H formed the beautiful shower boquet, H which she carried. The bridegroom ' H was attended by Alexander T. John- H son of Wonder, Nevada, where Mr. and Mrs. Roberts will make their H home after an extended wedding trip Miss Lida Ilawxhurst and Raymond Ray-mond J. Wincgar were married Wednesday Wed-nesday evening at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Ilawxhurst, in Blaine avenue. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Herbert Hayes in the presence of the relatives and a few family friends. It was followed by a large reception. The decorations were unusually effective. ef-fective. Mrs. Byron Cutumings was in charge of the dining room, where Miss Emma Louise McLaury and Miss Ada Hartley poured cofTcc. Miss Eva Hamlin, Miss Martha McClain, and Miss Ruth Storer also assisted. Mr. and Mrs. Ilawxhurst were assisted as-sisted in receiving the guests by Mrs. Wincgar, mother of the bridegroom, and Mrs. S. D. Kcclcr, Mrs. R. G McNiccc, and Mrs. E. O. Leather-wood. Leather-wood. Miss Emma Cummiiigs assisted as-sisted in 'entertaining. Mr. and' Mrs. Wincgar will take a wedding trip to Idaho, after which they will reside in Salt Lake. Miss Viernico Burton and Edwin B. Hatch were married Wednesday afternoon af-ternoon at the bride's home, Bishop R. T. Burton, grandfather of the bride performing the ceremony, after which a wedding dinner was served for the bridal party and immediate families. The bride was given away by her father, W. F. Burton, and attended by her sister, Eloisc Burton, as maid of honor. Ray Hatch was the best man. An informal reception was held in the evening which was largely attended at-tended by the friends of the bride and bridegroom. Miss Melvina Brinton. Mrs. Thomas, Miss Hills and Mrs. Wilcox assisted in the dining room. Mr. and Mrs. Hatch will leave next week for Hcber, where they will nuke their home. The marriage of Miss Ella Smith and Hugh W. Dougali took place Wednesday in the temple. A dinner followed at the home of the bridegroom's bride-groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Dougali, in North State street. The decorations were in American Beauty roses and carnations. The bride wore .a gown of white mull and Valenciennes Valen-ciennes lace. Mr. and Mrs. Dougali will be at home at 146 Fourth avciutc. Miss Hazel Pond was the guest of honor at a "domestic" party Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon at which Mrs. W. E. Coulani was the hostess. She was assisted by Miss Eily Geary, Mrs. Henry Johnson, Miss Alice Coulam, and Miss Esther Jorgcnscn. All of the receiving party were dressed as cooks and maids, while the guest of honor was supposed to have her "day off." After the luncheon a kitchen shower was given for the bridc-clect. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Nolan and Miss Nolan left Thursday for Jacksonville, Jack-sonville, Fla., where they will make their home in the future. They have been residents of Salt Lake for a' number of years and made many friends who regret their decision to leave this city and wish them happiness happi-ness and prosperity in their new home. Mrs. Ernest Greenwood was the ' hostess Wednesday at an afternoon bridge party and an evening "500" affair af-fair given in honor of her guests, Mrs. L. W. M'oorc and Mr. Greenwood's mother, Mrs. M. A. Greenwood of San Francisco. She was assisted in entertaining by Miss Mount. Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Horn have returned from their wedding trip through New Mexico, Texas and the East. They will be at home to their friends at 151 South Seventh East street. Mrs. Edwin Kimball and Mrs. Emma Em-ma Ramsey Morris announce a benefit bene-fit testimonial concert for Miss Jennie Jen-nie Sands the accomplished pianist. The concert will be given in the Salt Lake theatre July 2nd. An elegant luncheon was given Wednesday at the Country club by Miss Ailccn Maclean for Miss Beatrice Bea-trice Chcescman and Miss Ruth Kingsbury. Miss Mary Maync and Miss Claire Fllcrbcck entertained in honor of Miss Valentine Murphy Wednesday at a luncheon, when fourteen guests Wierc present. Miss Pearl and Miss Nora VanCott entertained at a luncheon at their home in East First South street, Thursday in honor of Miss Beatrice Checscnian and Miss Florence Kimball.
