Show I' 1 Truth never resorts to any election ' , dodges, ( to any subterfuges. What It jS J says it' bellovcs to be true. It has f H no object In misleading anybody. It alms to glvo the public tho facts. It . I' has no ax to grind In this election, I and nover has had in ally election. It I took tho stand It did in this campaign ' as in every other campaign it has engaged in, on what It thought to bo right. Tho right in this election is ! to defeat those public enemies who have desecrated tho word American ; by applying it to themselves. That tho people of Salt Lake will defeat 1 them, Truth has not tho slightest doubt. It has been tho custom of ; Truth to make a forecast of tho elec- I Hons. It will do so again. It may be k , mistaken, but If It is, it will bo the f first tlmo it has erred in live consoc- t utlvo elections. Its forecast for this year Is that William J. Lynch and the ontiro Republican general ticket' will bo olocted by a plurality of 1500 votes. Lynch and his colleagues will have over 9,000 votes. Tho "American' It ticket, with Mr. Thompson as its lead er, will have about 7,000, and tho Democrats, Dem-ocrats, with Mr. Morris, will bo third in tho raco, with about 5,000. Thq Republicans will elect seven Council men and tho Domoerats and "Ameri-I' "Ameri-I' cans" will divldo tho remaining three I Councllmen between them. Truth's predictions so far have been not only I substantially, but in detail, correct. Tho present forecast is based on thq best information obtainable, and ac-Kj ac-Kj cording to tho best Judgment of tho H ' editor. |
