MADE BISHOP'S COUNSELOR George Chournos, son of Mr. and Mrs, Nick Chournos has been sustained as second counselor in the Temple View Ward bishopric of New Zealand. George and his family have been in New Zealand for the past three years, where he is teaching in the LDS Church College. They plan to return home this fall. Mr. and Mrs. R. Donald Davis and children of Davis, Calif., are presently visiting with Mr. Davis's father, George H. Davis in Garland. The Davis's are also visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Diver in Tremonton. Jep-pese- n of Jay Gill, Promoter World's Middlvwoight The annual dinner outing of the Utah Department of World War I Veterans and Auxiliary has been announced for August 25, at 6 p.m. at the Murray City Park in Murray. Dinner will be served family style, and a program will follow. There will also be prizes and gifts to add to the event. Local Veterans officers would like all veterans to join with their old buddies to enjoy the evening and renew the friendship buddies should have with each other. Reservations should be made before Aug. 15 with a donation of $2.25 per person. Tamra Peterson flew into Salt Lake City Saturday from Sparks, Nev., where she had spent several weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Peterson. RIVERSIDE Belmont Boys Are Promoted by Myrle Udy The Trail Builders of the Belmont Ward Primary held their Promotion and Round Up Tuesday night in the Belmont Cultural Hall. They attended Fast meeting at which the baby son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Welling was given the name of Gary by his father. They had a family party in Evanston Canyon where the entire family with the exception of Jack and family, who are in Seattle, Wash., were together. There were 25 family members present. Karleene Brough, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Brough, is spending a week with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Welling. Mrs. Allie Franklin and son of Los Angeles. Calif., left Sunday morning after spending 10 days with her brother, Deloss Jensen, and other relatives. Attend Family Reunion Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Crow-the- r and family of Mesa, Wash., spent Friday night with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Udy. Mrs. Udy is Gordon's mother. Saturday morning they went to the Downata Springs accompanied by Mrs. Udy to a Danielson family reunion. It was the first time for seven years they have been able to attend one. her Myrle Udy accompanied nephew, Royce Searle, to Idaho Falls, Tuesday evening. They visited Mr. and Mrs. George Bitter and returned Wednesday night. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Hales were in Idaho Falls to attend the wedding in the Temple of Ron's nephew. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Bourne spent Sunday in Kaysville with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Phillips. They went to visit Bingham which they enjoyed Canyon very much. Receives Medical Care Gordon Capener has been in the Dee Hospital receiving medical attention the last few days. He is recuperating nicely now and planned to be home Monday or Tuesday.
