Nancy was riding in the back of the pickup which her mother was drivwhen the truck took ing a curve which threw her off balance and she half fell out She tried of the truck. on and to hang desperately was drug quite a ways before falling to the road. The other children riding with her shouted and screamed. Finally Mrs. Miller brought the truck to a stop. They rushed her to the Logan hospital where they found she had a concussion, cuts and bruises and a ruptured ear drum. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Shaffer and their family members, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Shaffer and family of Gardnerville, Nevada, Ruth and Tom Emang, Provo; Bob Shaffer and son of Haley, Idaho remained overnight with their mother and enjoyed a family dinner with Mrs. Dora Shaffer Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hawkes have had their granddaughters Lisa, Michelle and Lauri Hawkes of Spovisiting kane, Washington them the past few weeks. Maurine Fonnesbeck visiwith her ted in Ogden daughters, Marsha and Mar-g- o and their families last and family of West Jordon and two other couples came Wednesday evening and spent two nights camping out in Garden.- - The "Grandpa's Woods family attended the Shaffer reunion. Julie Shaffer returned home with them and Pam remained for a further stay with relatives. 220 her family met in a family reunion starting Friday evening ami running through Saturday. They spent Friday night at Early Park where they held a fireside, supper and story telling time. Saturday morning they enjoyed a pancake breakfest followed by sports, games and sociability. Mrs. Leah Oyler returned home Friday after a week of vacationing with nunily members Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Shaffer. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Andersen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Johnson and Roger and his friend of Bountiful. They traveled to South Dakota, then through Yellowstone Park before returning to their homes. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Miller (Elaine Rhodes) were home for a few days from Shepherd Air Force Base inWieh-t- ta Falls. Texas, then left Sunday afternoon for the Sey- - 24 the Mr. and Mrs. Dennis of Montpelier Thomas visited the Oyler s. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Varga and children are in West-lak- e, Ohio with his folks. They will attend a sister's wedding and his class reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Rose and family came from Salt Lake Wednesday evening and with the Blaine Rhodes family spent the night in Early Park where the Jasper Rhodes family reunion was held Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Oyler spent Friday night and Saturday at Daniels Reser- voir. All of Sherman Oylers family were home during the weekend to attend the Shaffer family reunion. On the afternoon of July week. Marceal and Pearl Olsen of American Fork, their daughter, Connie and her children of Illinois and another daughter, Zenna have been visiting with the James Nessens and the Orland Hess' this past week. Leon and Sharon Hotter and children were in Sandy Sunday visiting with Sharon's parents Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Andersen. Sharon's brother, DeMar is spending some time with the Kotters helping with the farm work. Eva Bair spent several days in the Logan hospital last week and since then has been recoupe rating at the home ' of Mearl Bair in Logan and Den Bair in Garland, Mrs. Jack Deakin and family were guests Sunday of Lila Myers.
