Fun Day held Saturday was a huge suc- cess according to M I A. officers. A parade started off the day's festivities with Verl Udy leading on his horse displaying the U. S. Flag. Following were the Bishopric and M.I.A. Presidency Colorful floats were furnished by the Junior Sunday School Scouts, girls ball team, Junior Gleaners, Gleaners and M Men Primary, Future Progress Guild Mia Maids and Ashby's. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bishop displayed the Pioneer Queen Float from Wheat and Beet Day. A variety of children's decorated wagons bicycles and Shetland ponies also added color to the proces sion. Music on the loud speaker was furnished by Parley Peter sen, Immediately following the parade refreshments were en joyed at the school grounds with Mr. and Mrs. Theo Richards in round rides charge. Merry-g- o and Shetland pony rides were available all during the day Leo Farnsworth had charge of the children's activities including calf riding, foot races, etc Horse pulling, ball games be tween the Mutual girls team and the young married women and the Mutual boys and young married men, completed the afternoon activities. In the evening a delightful program was held at the Church under the direction of Mrs. Irene Peck and Mrs. Isabel with Mrs. Edith Welling acting as Mistress of Ceremonies. The East Avon Hillbillies of Logan, consisting of Walter Larsen, Reed Gunnell, George Jaggl and Larry Petersen, sang and played several numbers. y Little Miss Vicky Lynn of Bothwell gave a "Tumbling Act"; The Secrist sisters, Annette, Kathy, Linda and Joan, sang two quartet selections, a Hawaiian dance was given by Miss Carmen Calderwood of Tremonton, a duet and ballet number was given by Misses Susan and Gloria Harper of East Garland. One of the highlights of the evening was the Hawaiian chorus group of our local fellows All-re- Hold-awa- d, 15, 1957 who were all in Hawaiian costume. M. I. A. President Jay Bourne had charge of the evening's entertainment which was thoroughly enjoyed by all those present. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Larkin and family of Salt Lake City visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Garn Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. M. J.' Udy and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Udy and daughter Merlyn were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Laws and family at Bothwell Sunday. Monday morning Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Udy and Mr. and Mrs. John Laws and daughters Pauline and Beverly left for a vacation trip to Yellowstone Park. Attend Reunion Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wilcox and son Seth accompanied by their house guests, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wilcox and small son of Van Nuys, Calif., attended a Wilcox reunion held at the Fairmount Park at Salt Lake City Sunday. Mr .and Mrs. John Potter and family of Farmington and Mr and Mrs. Grant Udy and family of Rockland, Ida., visited at the Steve Potter home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Suther land and son Glade, accompan ied by Gary Goodsell of Newton, have been spending a few days in Logan Canyon. Mrs. Effie Potter and daugh ter Arlene, accompanied by Mrs. George Manning of Farmington are spending this week at San Bernadino, Calif., visiting with Mrs. Potter's sister and brother-in-laMr. and Mrs. Bob Tom-linso- n. Marsha, Carala and Randy Zundel have been spending a few days with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Cutler, Snowville. C. O. Hendricks has returned to his home after spending a few weeks with his children, Mr .and Mrs. William Bowen and family at Magna. vacation trip to Southern California. Little Denise will remain in Logan with her grandparents while her parents are away. Mr. and Mrs. John Owens and sons Earl and Dick spent Sunday at Bear Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Grover and family visited with relatives at Stone, Ida., Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Claine Petersen and three children of Layton spent Sunday and Monday with Mr. Petersen's mother, Mrs. Elma Petersen. Mr. and Mrs. Don Potter and small daughter Denise were din ner guests at the home of Mrs. Potters parents, Mr .and Mrs. Karl Benson at Logan Sunday, Monday morning they left for Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Sutherland and son Glade spent Wednesday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Goodsell and family at New ton. Mrs. Audrey Boothe of Los Angeles is spending this week visiting wiht her sister, Mrs. Edith Udy and family. Roundy Reunion Attending a Roundy reunion held at Lagoon Sunday were Mr and Mrs. Burnell Roundy and family and Owen Udy. Visiting with Mrs. Eliza and family Saturday eve ning were Mr. and Mrs. Asael Godfrey and small daughter of Ogden. Spending Sunday with Mr and Mrs. Willis Fryer were Mr and Mrs. Art Saunders of Logan Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bourne entertained at a party at their home Tuesday evening in compliment to Mrs. Frank Tallman and son Leroy of Lynnwood, Calif., who have been visiting with relatives in this vicinity Leroy remaned to spend a few days at the Bourne home. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Munson Wednesday were Mrs. Gertie Hansen West, North Hollywood, Calif., Mrs. Annie Hansen, and Mrs. Chris Hansen of Logan, Mrs. Grace Hales and daughter of Riverside, Mrs. Virgil Richins and children Wade and Sherrill of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. James Burt and children Gay-len- e and Bruce of Ogden. The Burts remained for an overnight visit. Mrs. Munson accompanied them to Perry Thursday and remained overnight at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hazel Allen and family. Little Christine Bywater of Little Valley spent last week Mrs. with her grandmother, Petersen, while her parents were on vacation to Yellowstone Park.
