Waldron drove to Salt Lake City, Wednesday morning to meet Mrs. Lois Christen-sen- , San Francisco, Calif., and Hazel Innes Barnes, Las Vegas, Nev. Bishop Marion Sorenson performed the ceremony that united the couple in matrimony, at the home of the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. 'Martin Riser in East Garland. The newlyweds have both attended Bear River High School. Mr. Riser has spent three years in military service. ' ; v ;. v i C'?I . Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lowe and family came from Cincinnati, Ohio, last week to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Garfield. Douglas and Dennis Lowe have been visiting for some time with the Garfields. Also at the Garfield home are Mr. and Mrs., Ernest Baddley and their children from Kenne-wicWash. Sunday, a family gathering was held. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Cordon, Ogden, came to join with them for a day of visiting and dinner was prepared for 27 family members. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gallagher, Willard, announces the marriage of their daughter, RaNee, to Melvin Burbank, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mel Burbank, Deweyville. They were married in June in Winnemucca, Nev. They are living at 438 28th St. Apt. B. in Ogden where Melvin is employed by Storeys. Mrs. William E. Hawkins reports having a very enjoyable birthday Sunday, when she reached her eightieth milestone. She was a guest of her son, John F. and his wife, at a dinner at the Tropical Cafe for the occasion. Her granddaughter, Beatrice Kay Holladay was also a guest at the dinner. During the day all members of the Hawkins family called to greet their mother, and she received many cards and gifts from them and many friends. Many friends called at her home during the afternoon and evening and enjoyed a piece of the special birthday cake which was served to all who called. jl . ; , ft y,?.
