FIELDING sf ll Flies To Washington rl nv e t son-in-la- n teen-ager- s 1 T Mourn Passing of Eberhard Ward Our town was saddened Friday afternoon by the sudden passing of Eberhard W. Ward at the Valley Hospital. He had been ill for less than a week. The men of the ward cleaned the church during the week. The ladies prepared lunch and they finished, with the help of the men, cleaning and painting. It's wonderful to have the meeting house clean. Ron Hales left the Salt Lake airport Sunday morning for San Francisco where he will attend market week. Miss Carolyn Hales, who is working in Salt Lake City, spent the weekend at the family home with her mother, Mrs. Ron Hales. Sunday morning the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. La- Vere Udy was given the name of "Laurie Udy" by her grandfather, Lynn Thomas in fast meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Thomas and son, L. D., Mrs. Margaret Thomas and Bonnie of Tremonton and Mr. and Mrs. Jay and Lynn, Garland, attended the meeting and afterward were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. LaVere Udy. Elder Leaves Mrs. Ellen Capener and members of the family from here and Anne Capener from Logan by Mrs. Owen accompanied Leatham, Wellsville, were in Salt Lake City Wednesday night to bid farewell to Elder Robert Leatham who left for a mission in the North Central States mission. He will be in the same mission with Elder Norman Burnett from our ward. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Hanni and family of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs. Dee Weese and family, Wes-terga- rd Tremonton, were visiting at the Mary Udy home, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. John A. Udy and son spent the weekend in Salt Lake City with Mrs Udy's parents and other relatives. We are happy to report that Mabel Hadfield is recuperating nicely at home now. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Peterson and Mrs. Martha Peterson, Mrs. Afton Green, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ward and children, Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Welton Ward and children, Pocatello, Mrs. Margie Shirley and two children, Rexburg, Ida., and Rayola Walker, Ogden, visited Mina Ward and also Mabel Hadfield over the weekend. The Paul Wards, Margie Shirley and Rayola Walker are staying most of the time with their mother, Mina Ward. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Adams and son and Mrs. James Hall and three children of Magna visited their sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Udy, and then they all visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Adams in Thatcher. We are sorry to report there is very little change in the condition of William Bowcutt, who has been ill so long. Mr. and Mrs. Eastin Nielson of Hyrum visited Mrs. Nina Dus-tiRiv-erto- n, Kennard, Sunday. Mrs. Beth Bowcutt stayed over night and she accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Jay Macfarlane to Salt Lake City, Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Udy and son from Canada visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Udy and other relatives the first of the week. While here, they attended the funeral of Mr. Fuhriman in Logan. He was the grandfather of Mrs. Udy. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Skinner and children, Salt Lake City, visited the T. J. Udy home, Sunday. Visit In Nevada Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Stenquist and daughter returned home Monday after spending the weekend in Reno, Nev., with their son, Lt. David E. Stenquist and his family. David came home to see his new daughter and the grandparents visited all of them together. They also brought their two little grand daughters, Loyette and Rebecca home with them for a visit.
