August 18. 1955 PORTAGE By Mrs. Gibbs Allen Vacation In Washington Mr. and Mrs. Jack Knudson and Mrs. Margaret Knudson and Nassie Moon are spending a ten day vacation at Spokane, Wash., with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brown and family, t Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Noble and son of Coalville, Utah, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Allen. Bert Rose who has been spending the last three weeks at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Rose left Saturday to return to his work at Inglewood, California. Mrs. Oren Parkinson, Mrs. Frances Allen and Mrs. Gibbs Allen attended a wedding reception Friday at Provo for Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson. Mrs. Johnson is a granddaughter of Mrs. Frances Allen. ' Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Price and children of Ogden visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. John Allen and Mr. and Mrs. Ora John. ' Audrey Nielson and Mrs. Cliff Beckstead of Ogden. visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. George Everton of Logan also visited at the Nielson home. They returned from a South African Mission in the spring and spoke in Sacrament meeting Sunday evening. Among those who visited Sunday with Mrs. Nellie Reese were Mr. and Mrs. Dale Yearsley and daughter of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gleed, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Arch Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Jones, Mr. and Mrs. U. H. Conley and Stillman Harris all of Malad. In Ogden Hospital Mrs. J. C. Gibbs underwent a major operation at the Dee ' Hospital Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Hoskins visited Sunday at Clearfield with Mr. and Mrs. Fern Flint. Mrs. Vera Hall is spending the week at Ogden with her daughter, Mrs. Evan Stevenson. Among those who visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Hall Sunday were, Mr. and Mrs. Carrall Hall of Brigham, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hansen and family of Tremonton and Mrs. Lynn Hall of Malad..
