Show DEWEYVILLE By Mrs. Wayne Fryer Families Enjoy Weekend Trips Weekend trips for many of the families in our town furnish a good deal of the weeks news. Spending two days of the long weekend enjoying the sights and actvities at Bear Lake were Mr. and Mrs. Jack Germer and children. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Clark Baron and family of Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Haycock, Linda, Lloyd and Susan spent Sunday at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Hansen and family, Tremonton went with the Haycocks and they were joned in Salt Lake by Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd The occasion was Newsome. held in honor of Linda's eighth .birthday. to Yellowstone Journeying Mr. and Mrs. O. C. were Park Kichardson, Mrs. Myrl Norr and Karen. Mr. Norr joined them Saturday and the Norrs returned home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Orion Snow and Mrs. Calvin Fletcher, Logan, are on a trip out in the Northwest. They will visit wjth relatives in Renon, Washington. Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lund and children, Menlo Park, See us about Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Perry Stanfill, Townsend, Montana, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jay D. Norr. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin GeTmer and Paul, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Germer and children, Ogden, spent the weekend at the home of their mother, Mrs. Henry Germer. Airman First Class Dennis Holdaway from Lowry Air Base, Colorado, spent the weekend at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Holdaway. Micheal Perry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Myrl Perry, has returned home after being at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Perry in Ogden. Eighty young women of the Stake MIA Maid girls gathered at the Park Tuesday for a Sports Day. The Misses Rose Ann Jensen, Connie Norr, Myr-n- a Madsen, Sandra Nielsen and Arlene Spackman with their leader, Mrs. Jay Norr, participated from here. " HOOVER COMMISSION MAKES FINAL REPORT Former Pres. Herbert Hoover is shown during his news con- ference in Washington, D.C. while rendering a final report of his Commission's findings to the Congress. The Commission, created to investigate and report on waste in government spend ing has been dissolved. Mr. Hoover is expected to retire from public life after the com pletion of this last assignment. Eldon Hess, brother of Mrs. Ed Sylvester and his daughter Diane of Sacramento, Calif., are guests this week at the Sylvester home. Diane plans to stay for two months to visit with the Sylvesters and other relatives in the valley. The Ed Sylvester family attended the Rodeo at Plymouth Monday where Delia Gwen was an attendent to the Rodeo Queen. Mr. and Mrs. George L. Joan Jensen who is employed in Salt Lake City spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orsen Jensen. The Orsen Jensen family went to Promontory Sunday to attend the Missionary report meeting for Miss Valeria Stokes who recently returned from the L.D.S. North Central States Mission. Monday they visited with Cache Valley relatives. Orsen's mother, Mrs. Jane Jensen of Brigham returned home with them for a short visit. California Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Hansen of Los Angeles, Calif., were dinner guests at the home of Mr.' and Mrs. C. E. Miller after which the Millers and Hansens and Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Miller visited the old family home in Plymouth. Mrs. Hansen is a sister of the Millers. The Hansens were dinner guests Tuesday at the home of a niece, Mrs. Thayne Stokes. Miss Myrna Peterson, student in Salt Lake City was at home Sunday evening and Monday. She spent Saturday and Sunday at Swan Lake, Idaho. Little John Fronk was a four day guest of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.- Jesse F. Petersen last week while his paarents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fronk enjoyed a vacation in Yellowstone. Nimble Thimbles The Nimble Thimble club finished their sewing kits and began work on their skirts, when they met Friday. Linda Peterson led a health discussion. The Palmer family were guests at the Smith home over the weekend and went with them and Mr. and Mrs. Engvar Petersen to Pine View Lake Sunday where they enjoyed a Mrs. Albert L. Smith was a picnic and boat riding. Richard Palmer remained with the Smiths where he plans to spend his vacation. He and Dean Holt 1 accompanied the Smith family to the horse show in Malad, Ida., Monday where the Smith horse placed 1st in three events. A trip to the Zoo was the high-ligof the day for Susan and Sherry Stokes Sunday when they accompanied their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thayne Stokes to Salt Lake City to visit with Mrs. Stokes' brother Oleen The family also visited at Farr West with Thayne's aunt, Mrs. Jack Chugg.
