They have been visiting Mediterranean Ports and were based in Tripoli during the summer. They express themselves as being happy to be home. A farewell testimonial for Richard Capener, son of Bishop and Mrs. Leland Capener was held Sunday night, prior to his entering the mission home Nov. 4. He is going to the Spanish American mission. Mrs. Agnes Burnett was in Brigham Monday. Bishop and Mrs. Leland Capener went to Evanston Monday to get Mrs. Karl afternoon Welling who had gone there to take care of the children of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Welling for a week; but because of the accident to her husband, her visit had to be cut short. She brought her two grandsons back with her and she has been at the hospital the rest of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Welling came Saturday to see their father and to take the boys back home with them. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hales took Mrs. Hale's mother, Mrs. J. D. Munson to Salt Lake City where she met other members of her family, and went with them to Cedar City to attend the funeral of Mrs. Munson's brother, Mr. Betensen. Mrs. Nina Burnett, Mrs. Gwen Burnett and Mrs. Agnes Bur nett were recent visitors in Malad. BEAVER DAM and COLLINSTON Mrs. Clark Bowen WILL GO OVERSEAS Ellsworth Johnson arrived home Thursday to spend a ten day furlough with his family the George Johnsons. Ellsworth has been statianed at Camp Roberts California and expects to be assigned for overseas duty on returning to camp. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Kidman Jr. of Ogden spent the weekend with Mr. Kidman's parents, the Delbert Kidmans. Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson visited Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Bateman in Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Barker of Logan spent Sunday with Mrs. Barker's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson. Mrs. L. H. Fronk spent Wed nesday and Thursday in Salt Lake City visiting with relatives and friends. On her way home she spent Friday in Ogden with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Smith. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Johnson had as weekend guests, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Zollinger and Char-len- e of Sublett, Idaho. Mrs. Joseph Durfey was hostess to members of her family in honor of her birthday Friday. A lovely luncheon was served and the day was spent visiting. The husbands joined them for a social evening. Those present were Mrs. Leo Earl of Logan, Mrs. Peter Thompson of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Wilford Durfey of Cutler and Mrs. Harold Marble and Annie Wood of Ogden. IMPROVING AFTER OPERATION home again and feeling well after a major operation at the Valley Hospital in Tremonton. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Miss Lola Hales, from the Nursing School of the U. of U. accompanied by her cousin Betty Hales visited here over the weekend. LaVere Burnett and girl friend of Nevada visited with Mrs. LaVere's grandmother, Agnes Burnett, Saturday. LaVere is going into service very shortly. Mr. Agnes Burnett accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Horton Nish of Logan went to Farmington Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Wood. Mrs. Wood and Mrs. Nish are daughters of Mrs. Burnett.
