My Commission expires Feb. 19, 1955 BOX ELDER COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT SCHEDULE SHOWING FOR WHAT AND TO WHOM MONEY WAS PAID OUT DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR OF 1952-53- . AS DIRECTED BY UTAH CODE ANNOTATED, 1953, To assist in understanding "for what" cash is paid out the following "key" is submitted. The small letter preceding the amount of money paid out to individuals, firms or corporations indicated for what money was paid: KEY a. GENERAL CONTROL: This includes salaries and expenses of the Board of Education, the Superintendent, the Clerk and Treasurer, Office Help, Costs of Legal Services, School Census, Audits, Compulsory Attendance and School Elections. Also Office Supplies. b. INSTRUCTION: This covers not only the salaries of the Instructional staff and clerical assistants, but the cost of all free text books, educational supplies, magazines and other costs. c. COORDINATE ACTIVITIES: The money paid for medical and nurse service comes under this title. d. AUXILIARY AGENCIES: The largest item of expense under this title is the transportation of pupils to and from school. Included here also is the expense of transportation involved in taking pupils to activities and field trips. Also cost of the School lunch program. e. OPERATION OF SCHOOL PLANT: Janitor wages and supplies, electricity, fuel and water are the items in this division. f. MAINTENANCE OF SCHOOL PLANT: This covers the cost of keeping up buildings, grounds, and Also the replacing of library books. equipment. g. FIXED CHARGES: Rent and Insurance: Fire. Industrial. Boiler, and Bus Insurance is included under this title. h. CAPITAL OUTLAY: This covers cost of land, sites, new buildings, and equipment for either new or old buildings, additions to old buildings, and new school buses and library books. i. DEBT SERVICE: Under this title are included interest on both short and long term loans, and repaying of loans and bonds. J. G. I.
