Thatcher Maurine Wight ELDERS GROUP MEETS James Petersen Enjoys Plane Trip James Petersen, one of That cher's most modern citizens, re turned recently from a delight ful three week visit with his Mr, daughter and and Mrs. Merlin Roche, of San "Uncle Francisco, California. Jim" traveled to the coast and back by plane, and he reports that he "loves to fly". Mr. Pe tersen is seventy seven years old. Mrs. Clara Johnson is spending a month visiting her sis ter, Mrs. J. B. Wallsmith of Tessa, Texas. Mrs. Cecil McNeely Jr., and Alan and Sally, visited Mr. and Mrs Cecil McNeely Monday. Mrs. McNeely is attending the son-in-la- U.S.A.C. at Logan. Mrs. Porter Christensen and baby Coral Lee of Rrigham City were Sunday dinner guests of Mr and Mrs. Melvin Christen- sen. In the afternoon they trav eled to Logan to visit Mr. and Mrs. Clair Christensen and their new son. Mr. and Mrs. Don Tolman and family of Corinne, and Don Forsgren visited the Ben Tt mans Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Joseoh Nelson attended funeral services in Salt Lake City Thursday for Mrs Nelson's aunt, Mrs. Alice Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Smith and family of Brigham City vis ited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Alben Borgstrom. Mrs. Amelia Anderson returned Friday for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Andersen and family. She has been with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Craner of Cor inne. Grandma Anderson" has been very ill for some months and now is staying with her daughter, Mrs.. Emma Archibald of Garland. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Wight and Paul, and Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Wight of Tramonton, were Logan and Trenton visitors Monday. They visited with Bishop and Mrs. Clarence An derson and family of Trenton. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McNeely visited Mr. and Mrs. Leslie An derson in Ogden Sunday. QUILTING BEE HELD Mrs. Wanda Adams entertain ed at a delightful quilting bee Wednesday. Ladies present were Alice Jensen, Glenda Compton, Maurine Wight, Lon Petersen and Rosa Adams of Thatcher and Adele Wilson of Bofehwell. Mrs. Howard Peterson and daughter Jean were Logan vis itors Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Checketts of Bear River City were Friday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Thornley. Mrs. Ervin Petersen enter tained Tuesday evening honoring her husband's birthday. The guest list included the following Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Petersen, Mr, and Mrs Leland Johnson, and Mrs Margaret Johnson of Thatcher and Mr. and Mrs. Dee Robbinette of Logan. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Newman have left Thatcher to make their home in Ogden, where Mr, Newman is employed. Mr. and Mrs. La Vor Johnson and Norman were Ogden Bus iness visitors Friday. Sunday visitors at the M. J. Wood home were Mr. and Mrs Ted Wood of Ogden and Mr. and Mrs, Milton Norman of Corinne. Mrs. Ralph Adams of Santa Maria, California is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Clair Christensen and new son of Logan. James Petersen left Tuesday for a two week stay at the home Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McNeely entertained the Elders committee and their wives Monday night. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Vern Roche, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Wight of Thatcher and Mr. anr Mrs. Joseph Egley of Penrose. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Tolman and family visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Larkin. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Watt were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O'Keith Adams and Mr. and Mrs. Royal Robbins of Layton. Mr. and Mrs. George Crozier Jr. and family and Mr. and Mrs. Don Housley and family of Tremonton, and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Nelson and family of Elwood were Sunday visitors at the Joseph Nelson home. President George Thornley entertained the M.I.A. officers and teachers at his home Thurs day evening in the monthly preparation meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Compton visited Mrs. Compton's mother, Mrs. William Wood of Corinne Trmonton, Utah from Portage Mrs. Virgil C. Harris Two Babies Given Names Two baby girls were blessed at sacrament meeting Sunday: Trudy Durene, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roderick and 11a Marlene. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wyn John. Alc Don McCrary, who is stationed at Hill Air Force Base spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Milton McCrary. He recently returned in the Dee hospital at Ogden Friday. Mrs William Burton and Mr. and Mrs. Alben W. Borgstrom a visited Thursday with Mrs. Hawkes of Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs .Cecil McNeely visited in Logan Friday. BURTON BAB NAMED Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Burton of Roy returned to the ward Sunday to have their lovely baby daughter named. She was given the name Janet Gwen. Wil-m- Sacramento, California where he spent a week with his wife there. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Harris and children of Nampa, Idaho were overnight guests at the Virgil Harris home Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. D. Harris returned home Friday from Idaho Falls. Ririe and Blackfoot, Idaho where they have spent the past ten days visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. John F. Conley spent Friday and Saturday in Ogden where Mrs. Conley received medical treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Fal John and family of Idaho Falls were week end guests of Fal's mother, Mrs. Grace John. Mrs. Oran Parkinson spent Friday and Saturday in Ogden with her daughter Renee and son Leon and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Erickson and son of Logan spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. James Mrs. John W.
