Janet Jensen was home all last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vay S. Jensen. She had been coasting with a group of friends and had slammed into a tree breaking two vertebra in her back. Janet will be wearing a brace for the next four months. Paul Holmgren returned from Saturday the Cooley Hospital after having surgery for hernia. was in the Ann Lazzenby Cooley hospital last week. She had surgery for a hernia also. Carma Reavis took her youngest daughter, Tina to Ogden Monday. Tina will have a tonsilectomy and ear treatment at St. Benedict Hospital. The Gary Hansens are back in town after spending the winter in St. George. New Residents Mr. and Mrs. Max Stander have moved to Bear River so they can help their parents and early the chores with spring work - when it arrives. Mr. and Mrs. Ursel Whitaker surprised were delightfully when the "newly weas" Mr. and Mrs. Roger Whitaker of Moses Lake called on them and spent two days with them. Roger is a grandson of the elder Whitakers. Elvira Christensen and Ella Perry of Ogden left last week for a trip to California. After dinner they spent t'.e evening at the Jensen home playing games. Brenda Schmidt entertained a group of friends in honor of her birthday. They attended a movie and then had lunch rit the Schmidt home. The Scout banquet was held Saturday night. A large group attended. Merit badges were awarded and slides of Camp Lowell were shown. A P.T.A. meeting was held Friday afternoon at the school Mrs. Juchau, county nurse, was the speaker. A film was shown and the 3rd and 4th grades entertained with musical numbers. Friends will be interested to know that Gay Ann and Bob into Rasmussen have moved their new home in Salt Lake City. have LaVona and Robert Roberts in the same city. Attend University Play Mrs. L. W. Iverson and Salt to Phyllis Pope drove Lake City Thursday and attended the play, "A New Halo for Henry" presented by the University Youth players. Don Lee Pope was a member of the cast. Annie Baldwin, Jane Peterson and Nellie Anderson were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Iverson Sunday. Nola and Dick Nessler were Sunday dinner guests at the Joe Murray home in Ogden. So Mr. and Mrs. Clarenci Roberts and fimilv spent the weekend at Paul. Ida., where tey attended Open House for Mrs. Lee Robert's grandfather, Greenwell who was observing his 80th birthday anniversary. She had the misfortune of running her hand through the wringer. Her hand and fingers were badly mashed and bruised. Some forty stitches were taken to repair the damage. "Scout During National Week" the Boy Scouts of Howell have done their share in celebrating the event. They participated in a program held in Sacrament last Sunday meeting and ended with a banquet held in their honor the evening.
