Debbie McNeely was among some fifty Bear River high school Future Homemakers of America who attended a convention in Salt Lake. They left last Friday morning by bus. They toured the Continental attended meetings, Bakery, shopped, and saw what little of the city they could see on foot They stayed at the Trave lodge near the Salt Palace. Debbie said 15000 girls and leaders were served there at the final banquet meeting last Saturday nite. At each plate was a small ceramic figure made by the handicapped children of Utah. She arrived home a little footsore and weary but otherwise pleased by the weekend venture. Audrey Dixon, foster daughter of Bill and Anita Bishop, enjoyed a Saturday visit with our foster daughter, Louise Holiday. I noticed that my neighbor, Joe Lasley, has been missing lately. Upon inquiry I learned that her parents of Idaho Falls have been ill. She has been spending a great deal of time up there on an errand of mercy. We're all hoping your folks are improving, Jo! When Kathleen Shaffer was released from the Logan Hospital, Lynn brought her out for a visit with her folks. Bill and Lola Ruth were thrilled to have them and that new baby girl as m. ng. guests. The day I planned to make a visit, I was dismayed to find they had returned to Preston, Idaho. I still haven't seen the little gal. Lola assures me she's beautiful! They all attended church where the Sid Fuhrimans had their baby blessed. The group enjoyed dinner later that day at the Earl Fuhrimans. Mr. and Mrs. Den Bair Jr, and family were visitors of Eva Bair Sunday. Vyrl and Ethel Nessen and their family were in Malad Sunday where they spent the day with Ethel's folks, Mr. and Mrs. John Hill. Sam and Peggy Stine returned home last week from an extended trip which took them back to Missouri and then down to Phoenix, Ariz. Li Missouri they visited with Sam's parents.
